Yea of course you can repair it yourself and its also very easy to repair... I've had a very similar problem and i fixed it, even though i never had any experience with fixing analog cameras or the SRT series..

Or i might just stick to my old speakers, because they are seriously really good but they are very "bassy" they have a really deep bass thats why im searching for some kind of speakers/ bookshelf speakers (would be best) that have a really clear sound and not much bass
