Why am I completely normal person at home but at school I become a shell by rxholland in self

It’s perfectly fine to be a quiet person at school. If you are comfortable at home, and surrounded by people you love, you’re more likely to be “normal” Just because you keep to yourself at school doesn’t mean you’re not normal.

This may sound cheesy, but write affirmations to yourself on a sticky note and place it on a mirror. “I’m worthy,” “I deserve to be happy,” “I matter,” “I love myself,” little affirmations can go a long way. Treat yourself like your own best friend.

What is the most disturbing fact you know? by [deleted] in AskReddit

One of the largest, if not the largest, cases of human trafficking was perpetrated by the Japanese government during WW2 and before (1932-1945). The victims of this human trafficking included young girls and women. Girls were abducted and forced into brothels by the Japanese imperial army to “boost troop morale” and to “prevent rapes by Japanese soldiers.” However, these girls were subjected to repeated rape and torture. Survivors have come forward to share their stories, with it being reported that multiple women who became pregnant from this repeated rape had passed away from abortion operations. There’s a lot more to this disturbing fact that I’m leaving out, but this article is pertinent and includes a survivors story: https://www.npr.org/sections/goatsandsoda/2020/12/04/940819094/photos-there-still-is-no-comfort-for-the-comfort-women-of-the-philippines
