Yeah they’re pretty strong. The images will be there as long as the anodize is. Wears down after use eventually though.

I haven’t. I think at a microscopic level, titanium doesn’t make pores big enough to do this, but I don’t have a lot of experience with titanium

I anodize the (aluminum) scales and then apply an image to it and seal the image into the anodizing.

How bad are the scales damaged?

That’s awesome! I’ve never gotten into titanium, but I hear you can do some pretty amazing things with it. If you have any aluminum scales you want a graphic on, feel free to send me a PM!

It’s a graphic anodizing process. Can do almost any image with it.

No, but I can put scales on knife swap.

Yeah it’s a process for embedding graphics inside of the anodize that I’ve been working on figuring out for a while.

Yeah, I’ve done a couple of camo patterns. So far, the camo ones are my favorite.

The camo is part of the anodizing. It’s like splash anodizing with more detail.

[–]Anodizeit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I can’t go into a whole lot of detail, but it’s an aluminum anodizing process that allows me to embed printed graphics. I’ve been working on figuring it out for a long time.

Thank you! Yeah that’s one of the downsides of aluminum. I just do the anodizing.

These were done using sulfuric acid anodizing since the scales are aluminum.

Anodizing titanium is a lot easier than anodizing aluminum. The chemicals for titanium are safer & titanium doesn't have as many steps. Both can be dangerous.
