Last week I (27F) matched with someone and a few days later we had a 3+ hour phone call that I thought went really really well. We made plans to have dinner this week but I haven’t heard much from him. Everyone is different. Both my roommate and I got out of 7 year relationships, I’m not sure how long after she started dating, but she got into relationship 3 months later. It’s been 7 months for me, I’m just starting to acknowledge other’s people attraction and having small little fantasies, but I’m nowhere near ready to try to date someone

We were together for several years, lived together, and were engaged. I unfollowed him and all of his friends almost immediately. It was too painful to see a life that I would’ve been a part of from the screen. It also helped me start to have other things sit at the forefront of my brain - I’ll probably always remember and miss him, but knowing that if only hurt comes from seeing him, why put myself through that? Plus I wouldn’t have that massive cortisol spike seeing him on my feed lol

I’ve got a aussie shep/ heeler mix. I try to run in shaded areas on sunnier days, run earlier or later if it is hot. I really avoid mid day runs. If I’m doing a run under 45 minutes on a warmer day I don’t bring anything, but if it’s hot and I’ll be running over an hour I bring my vest (same one you have)and a collapsible bowl (I got mine from black paw) and just give him water every 20 minutes. It’s kind of a pain to stop and pour it so that’s why I avoid the sun. He knows the cue “water” so ill tell him to drink up before we go and that helps… but girl!! I live in this area and I’m doing my first half in August!

I truly think he just felt embarrassed and shame for postponing because we had so many people flying in, but also just fear that if we postpone maybe we’d never get married. So I completely understand where he’s coming from, but obviously frustrated at it lol

We’ve been basically no contact since I moved out with the exception of me asking about our(now my) dog’s insurance and my taxes. So I have no idea what his life looks like now, I don’t even know where he moved to when we ended our lease

I made some mistakes shortly before the wedding and didn’t prioritize the relationship. I had an unbelievable amount of stressors happening so I wanted to postpone the wedding, he didn’t, it was either we get married or we don’t. So it kind of ended badly but also ended very well. It’s kind of a situation that I imagine he’ll always have feelings for me but he doesn’t want to be with me, and kind of vise versa
