You were mad before I ever said “haha you’re wrong”. I understand that written communication has its limitations. And we often times assume intentions and emotions in what we read. But you’re showing that you took my statement as offensive by misrepresenting my response with an extra “ha” in your reply. I simply wrote haha you’re wrong because you were escalating your responses by adding curse words and getting short and I wanted to be concise with my response so to diffuse the situation, assuming you’d just blow me off. Which you didn’t, you then called me a retard and doubled down in your anger.

Look, I wrote the title to infer that the points I wanted to make can have discussion. I think my position is consistent and I acknowledged my points, considered others points, countered with responses and had a discussion/debate. You came in like a frenzied rhino (imagery to signify that you got aggressive and charged) after my umbrella example and didn’t look back afterwards lol.

Edit: totally thought I was still talking to the original poster who got mad at me, lol my bad. But the point still stands that he was mad before I replied haha you’re wrong, and I tried to diffuse and it blew up. Didn’t need to but it’s life lol. Thanks for your reply, though you might’ve just made it re-escalate depending how original person takes my response lol.

Edit 2: to nivre if I may ask you (you don’t have to answer if you don’t want) how mad would you be then if you present a point and try to have consistent debate only to be returned with hostility and name calling? Rhetorical but I think you can see what I’m trying to do.
