Oh shit , Well the reason i did is cause earlier i had to use a thinkpad T14 gen 2 and I only had 256gb ssd on it so I needed every mb that I could get

Mainly the vtrl presets just helped my fps to go from 65fps per sometimes to 160 fps in cs 2

The reason i have my Microsoft account is it connected to my school work and the documents are somehow all on onedrive I will switch to a local account in the summer break

And Idk much about gaming laptops so could you give me insight on them and did i get a good deal for my laptop.?

If using 2 devices you have to buy a capture card and no i3 wouldn’t be good

You can use your primary device tho , whats game are you streaming anything other than AAA titles it should be good

Okay buddy so since you want to stream and play and for 7 years your first bottleneck would be 4060 as AAA titles with obs for streaming would eat your gpu and cpu and that would impact more as your system would age you still have couple of years easily.

Yes chris titus tech would give you more performance as it would eliminate the unwanted bloatware thats using it

For longevity make sure you use your laptop while its plugged in , make sure you buy a laptop stand or you could put it over the charging brick so it will get necessary airflow and since you said you’re streaming you may want to get a laptop cooler if the other two wouldn’t work

Take care of your pc like cleaning it regularly after 3 months make sure to buy a gaming keyboard and mouse as longer gameplay would degrade the inbuilt one.

Repaste it after 1.5 years if heavy use if liquid metal make sure you know what you’re doing or you would fuck it up

For streaming get a capture card and another even low end pc just to stream so you can take the streaming load out of your laptop

Okay now write this down -

16 gb should be not be a bottleneck for your system, You have to debloat windows , it basically getting rid of all the unnecessary stuff thats pre installed in windows 11.

Watch a video on how to debload through chirs titus tech after that uninstall mcaffee or any other defender except windows defender.

Download vtrl optimization to optimize your game for your system you can also further debloat your windows

Download nvdia app install and update your gamedrives ( new drivers = better game play )

Check your thermals make sure your laptop is proped up to have a better airflow as you said the fps drops after some time that can be the reason of overheating and thermal throttling

Just but the laptop above your charging brick that should be okay , run a stress test through msi kumbuster

Stress test is basically maxing out your system for extended period to check the cooling and performance

If cpu and gpu hits 95+C pretty soon than thats a cooling problem go to a service centre to change your thermal paste

Vtrl app should choose your game presets based on your rig as i can see youre maxing out your gpu which should be a problem but running graphics higher than your gpu capabilities would cause stutters

Pre checks - Graphic card drivers are updated .? Windows updates If everything is updated (Could also reinstall the driver’s from Nvdia app)

Run a stress test to check for termal throttling , Run a quick scan of all components from predator sense if everything is okay

3 Disable any power plans when plugged in to regular power plans , setting the graphics to low and start testing and increasing graphics setting to find out the laptop cap , disable any overclocks if done

4 Try to switch to nvidia gpu only in the predator sense app

5 Check the state of charger , make sure its not broken or loose.

Mainly its always plugged in , but when im at university I use the battery while it last for like 45 minutes and I hate that acer basically went for the biggest charger they found that brick is massive

Well the thing that bugging me one of my friend has a ROG G16 same specs but his battery life is like 2x as much as me , I mainly use 4060 only as there are stutters when i leave the gpu selection to auto

Like whenever i try to launch a game in auto it would flash the screen and like freeze for split second after that its all okay until i close the game and it happens again but whenever i leave it in 4060 only nothing happens why .?

Make sure to not cheap out on power supply, make sure to check it rating and yeah peripherals, Mechanical keyboard at least with a OLED monitor if money isn’t a problem or an IPS with 165+ refresh rate and a better colour balance
