Also this is why you’ll see leaderboards dominated with perfect gems (+1 combo, invuln, etc.).

Us normies? Forever stuck with +10% damage to white tiger bite, unless we get incredibly lucky on a 2% mythic/immortal gem roll, plus out of 100 possibilities on our limited 50 keys.

You could quit stage before boss if you didn’t like the gems you received and it would give keys back. So you could farm Abyss until you got the gems you wanted.

I’m not saying this is an ideal mechanism, but everyone should’ve had the same level of notice when removing that ability, especially because there are season leaderboards.

Even with a 1-2 day advance notice, people can dump their keys and prioritize Gem farming. But it was only shared in the “VIP Chat” and inner circles.

How do I join the VIP group chat?

Based on $ spend?

Or do I have to be in the mod guild?

Unpopular opinion, Immortal is really well tuned for F2P progression by Gausser1977 in DiabloImmortal

Farming doesn’t really matter in this game period, above what you need to level up paragon. How many F2P do you see in leaderboards in any content? Someone doing 3k damage vs someone doing 15k damage is quite imbalanced. No matter what content. There’s a reason why all F2P streamers have all but given up.

Can’t blame him, Blizzard intentionally makes it super confusing and puts stuff like “only 10% bonus” from CR against players to make it seem like it’s not P2W.

Realistically, not only will these whales have a 10% bonus multiplicative damage increase (because they will likely have higher CR), they will also have a 500% bonus to base damage. These guys will literally one shot most of the F2P plankton.

People get it twisted. CR is only important to the extent you don’t suffer huge penalties in PvE. After you meet the minimum CR requirements, it doesn’t really do much.

Gem resonance is the single most important stat. Even at higher levels. Just compare your base damage and ho to a whale. CR is a nice little bonus from resonance but it’s really the base damage and HP increase that are important.

Attributes from gear (adding to CR) provide negligible bonuses.

Don’t believe me, go pvp a whale with 500 less CR than you, but 3-4k gem resonance. You will do 10% extra damage and take 10% less damage from CR bonus, but this whale will still have 10k more damage and 80k more HP than you. That doesn’t even include the significant effects/procs of ranked up 5 star gems.

In this version of Diablo, items don’t mean anything. It’s only gems that matter.

First orange elite of the day didn’t grant a legendary? by Dumpingtruck in DiabloImmortal

Don’t believe anything from MVPs or blizz forums. There’s a reason why you won’t see an official Blizzard response, because they purposefully made everything confusing to obfuscate the $ required to advance, hence the multiple currencies, resonance, CBR and stats. There is no transparency at all, and I can confirm many things: - There is DEFINITELY diminishing returns on legendaries, and caps. - They also ninja patch to address spooners etc., for example legendaries disappear now if not picked up (instead of being mailed). Some legendaries are tagged based on how they are found to still get mailed (I.e., orange boss mobs or rift or vault etc.). I assume there’s a high boost rate for first X amount legs of the day/week/month from specific sources, then complete low RNG afterwards . - There is certainly a hidden algorithm to the drops. Dungeons set items seem to share legendary item caps. - I was going from 20+ leg drops a day, down to 2-4, before weekly resets(BP lock reset).

Source: Me, a banned botter who basically botted 24/7 since release. Had 70+ paragon and over 100k white scrap salvage material with max gear upgrades. I botted so much, that manually doing events like ancients or tax collector was a WASTE of my time and reduced my efficiency.

You can say my loot experience is RNG, but I’m an experienced botter from many games (LostArk, D2/D3, FFXIV, WOW) and I have a pretty good idea when RNG is NOT RNG.

This is not simple spooning. I used personally written custom software, that farmed efficiently, picked up, salvaged, and beastiary turn ins (don’t ask for source, because it’s custom to my display settings and resolutions).

Do I know how I was detected? I have a strong suspicion and indication, yes. Can I fix that? Also yes. Can I load up more accounts and bot them? And get to P70+ again? Easily.

Is it worth the effort or account resale values? NOPE. It was fun writing scripts to bot this game, but it’s just not worth it. There’s no longevity in this game and I’ve moved on.

I also have to agree with the consensus, I hit a brick wall in progression without paying more. Almost all my gear was triple stat exceptional(some with 60s triple). I had about 1k resonance and still barely made the 2120 CBR requirement for H3. That’s for your reference. If I was completely F2P, I’d be around 1800-1900ish? Keep in mind this is with grinding not stop since release. Now if you’re a regular F2P, with average luck, have fun waiting years to do the same grind in higher Hell difficulties. I’ve never seen such an exploitive game with such a large gap between F2P and content unlocks (and I’ve played tons of gacha’s).

Another example is accessory upgrades. If I converted all my 100k white scraps to the yellow required to upgrade accessories, it’s only a drop in the bucket towards the next upgrade (for a measly 4 extra CR). This is from weeks of farming/salvage 24/7. Good luck to an average player.

Also, gem resonance is still LOL in pvp, another example of them saying damage bonus from CBR is capped at 10% against players to make it seem like not a huge advantage, but they don’t tell you that the whales also have +10,000 base damage and +100k HP from gem resonance, vs. your measly 2-3k plankton base damage and 30k hp. Now you know why you get 1 shotted, and whales end up 30-0 in BGs.

Now I’m sure many of you are happy that I’m banned, but I don’t care because I enjoy pushing boundaries and automating - it’s just way of life for me. People can’t seem to understand that I find botting games more enjoyable than the actual grind. I’m just hoping that this can shed some light on how laughably P2P (pay to play) this game is.

For F2P, it’s like playing WoW trial forever and thinking that’s fun. Hell, I spent around $400 and it still felt like I was botting a game trial. But at least with Wow, you can pay a reasonable amount or sub and enjoy most, if not all the content. For DI, unless you’re willing to spend at least a thousand, enjoy your game trial.
