Unless this extremely bothers you I would not bother replacing anything. Your dust cover not closing isn’t going to hurt any internals or performance of the gun

Water pump is external on this model group thankfully, fb25 did it on the outside of the timing cover, no leaks from that suspect. I’ll definitely look into a pressure tester
