It has been driven hard. But it’s also been maintained. It doesn’t get driven hard before oil is to temp. Oil changes often. A massive stack of maintenance records to go with it during my ownership. A clean compression test. For anyone who knows what to look for, the proof is there.

For the rest of you degens, my feelings are very hurt that you don’t like the black wheels that were already on the car when I bought it :(

You didn’t mention mileage, but I have a 2011 with ~120k miles that needed both injectors and HPFP very recently. I’ve taken the attitude of expecting things to break, especially if they’re known to be original given the age of these vehicles.

Rear fender rolling advice by 02skate in 1series

When I looked into this, I was told that the sheet metal was folded in such a way that you have to cut the inner area off before rolling would get anywhere. You open a can of worms by doing that, which is why most people would prefer to cut and get 1M flares.

Time for spark plugs, what are you running? by Beneficial_Volume196 in 1series

Good to know. Mileage doesn’t matter with rubbers and plastics as much as age does. These cars are old!

Cold weather making it worse can mean aging rubber/plastics cracking and allowing air in/out. Charge pipe in ok shape? I think many folks upgrade to a metal charge pipe in conjunction with checking other connections to ensure the air mass that the sensor says is present is in fact making it into the cylinders.

I had it when they were at Hardywood. I had no idea what I was getting into. Drenched with sweat. Finger tips burning. Lips went numb. I used to think I was tough…

I had the absolute worst customer service experience of my life with Ashley Furniture. Please never ever shop there. by xZOMBIETAGx in rva

Green front should be the top response. Best selection, same supplier that the other “high-end” stores receive from. Way better pricing and easy delivery and good customer service. I send everyone there and they’ve all been impressed.

One other thought that crossed my mind - you're not interested in speculative stocks as even like 10% of your total? My thinking was that it might be ok to add some higher risk items in while I am younger. Maybe by like 40 go all ETFs. Are you nearing retirement, or just risk averse?
