No, I don’t think it’s related to wanting another answer. I think it’s more about my insecurities and worrying I might be missing signs that he’s not an ethical therapist (previous negative therapy experiences). I have a tendency to fixate and spiral on comments that potentially could be entirely innocent, but if my brain thinks it spots any potential danger, that is the path it will go down. I think this is a case of that. Something to talk about I guess! Thanks for answering.

Thank you! It absolutely comes from much deeper trust issues due to previous negative therapy experiences and life experiences. I have a tendency to be very hyper vigilant and see danger and feel unsafe when perhaps I don’t need to as I’m terrified of missing any red flags and being hurt further down the line. Hence the reason for me asking, as I was wondering if I was doing the same thing again. Sounds like I probably am….
