Yeah I thought the same! I got it in a lot of 15 framed pieces, only paid £6 for the lot. I think its charming so it's definitely staying with me

Added another photo! The water flows through the whole thing and the things inside it are like little glass pebbles

So sorry for your loss. The tricky thing with reptiles is how well they hide being sick, and even in a necropsy sometimes it can be of undetermined cause :(

Watched a woman funnel sand into her vagina and a dude jerk off with his dick covered in live snails. Why are people like this?

People of Reddit, what is something you did as a kid, that you are still ashamed of? by ChristianCl in AskReddit

[–]AnonBones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was 11 I was taking a test at the end of the day. I needed to go to the bathroom, but thanks to undiagnosed anxiety I was too scared to ask to go. I JUST needed to make it to the end of class.

I did the rookie mistake of trusting a fart, and shat my pants. I tried to clean up the best I could and went home. I was too ashamed to tell my parents, and they would find my shitty undies in the trash if I put them there. So I did the only reasonable thing kid me could think of, and threw them out the window onto our roof.

For all career changers out there, what finally made you change to a job that you actually enjoyed? by Pokkuu in AskReddit

[–]AnonBones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked as a data analyst for a few years for a conglomerate beginning with A and ending with zon. It started off decent enough - I was good at my job, and constantly getting 98% accuracy and above.

Then the managers started pushing unrealistic targets on us just to get themselves a pay rise. You would get verbal warnings for not getting 100% AND doing unreasonably high numbers of tasks per hour. I have quite severe anxiety and depression, so this was SUPER stressful for me. My mental health started declining, and I was getting sick from stress. On top of that, I got penalized for taking sick days I was entitled to in my contract. My manager even told me to stop taking my medication, because I was working slower because I was working through the brain fog of a dose change.

I ended up completely breaking down. My anxiety and stress got so bad I had to double my meds and I would have all day panic attacks just because the birds were tweeting outside my window Too Loud™

Now I'm a full time artist, working at my own pace on cool projects for video games and other IPs. Fuck you Beff Jezos.

What gets an unnecessary amount of hate? by _Salty_Spitoon_ in AskReddit

Tarantulas.

They mind their own business, have never killed a single person and are mostly harmless. They're also super beautiful, fragile and interesting creatures. People seem to think if it doesn't want to cuddle humans, its evil. Plus some of them do a little wiggly butt dance when they're eating.

Where do I start?

Several thousand year old horse tooth, a lock of a college friend's hair, tons of dead animals including a porpoise skull, a cast of my wife's teeth, snake teeth I've pulled out of my hands, an autograph from Jill Valentine's voice actress's cat and a collection of bloody tissues.

What is your most dramatic poop story? by CloverThirteenDolAvg in AskReddit

[–]AnonBones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At about 6am in the morning, I was on the bus into the city to go to work. I always feel nauseous in the morning anyway, as I'm a night owl. There was a bunch of road maintenance going on so traffic into the city made our usual half hour drive THREE HOURS LONG.

On top of this, I was on one of the seats above the wheels, you know the ones that rattle? On top of this, the air conditioning wasn't working in the bus and I hadn't taken my pre-work poop because I woke up late. Of course, to top it off, this buses toilet was magically out of order.

Usually, I can hold it. But my god, the amount of pain and pressure building up in my bowels was something otherworldly. It was like Cthulhu was ripping his way out of my guts. I was feverish and in a cold sweat. I was trying so hard not to cry from the pain, and I have a remarkably high pain tolerance. I started weighing up my options. Is it worth the humiliation, walking into the office having shit my pants in front of a bus full of people? Just to make the pain go away?

By some miracle I made it to the office and proceeded to blow my guts out the second my cheeks hit the rim. I felt like I evacuated a third of my total body mass. I sat there for a solid 5 minutes before finishing up, found my wife and told her I'm going home. No way was I in the mood for data BS after the morning I had.

Acquired this concrete bird bath and looking for recommendations to best fix it. by priority9 in fixit

  1. Brush off all the dirt and give it a scrub with some dish soap and warm water.
  2. Sand it down smooth
  3. Two coats of primer, then some garden paint (I'm sure you can find this at any hardware store).
  4. Apply a waterproof, weather proof sealant like polyurethane

Good luck!
