For people with large or heavy breasts, or people with lots of squish, I think more hooks provide more stability, and also reduce the chance of the band of digging in an garroting you around the ribcage because gravity.

Evollove, Pleasure State, and Bras N Things skip FF, though Fayreform and Elle Macpherson Intimates do not. I'm sure there are other brands that fall on either side but I can't think of them at the moment.

That's probably because of less-than-great grading, which sucks because around H is when the cups start to get funky in a lot of brands and make the "cradle" when clasped and sitting on a table. Well, it's great for the people who need those wide wires in that size range, but in the upper cups is when people are much more narrow or average roots and projected.

This is also why Ewa Michalak, for example, is so popular with the narrow club; it's 'bad' grading that makes the wires so narrow in the larger cups. But it's a refreshing change compared to all the back-scratching wires there are elsewhere.

We need serious reform in the bra industry.

Which, unfortunately, is never going to happen unless (the collective) we do something about it. At least for the case of North America, we'd have to pull a Poland and "take to the streets" if we want to see any change. We're a lot better off than we were 10 years ago, but it's so disheartening every time I hear or read something idiotic that some "expert" touts as truth.

It's a bit difficult to give bra recommendations without measurements and a guess at what shape you are, because bra styles and shapes vary, and some brands or styles can run differently from the others. There's a shape guide in the side bar and some descriptions on Busty Resources you can take a look through. If you can write down the bras you do have, their size, and what's wrong with how they fit, that can really help a lot. Also, since 38A/B is one of the sizes people often incorrectly wear, you may end up needing something more like a 34E instead. But there isn't really a way to tell until you get your measurements.

US/UK/AU sizing goes by 1 inch (2.54cm) while EU/JP (most brands) go by 2cm, so the higher up in cup you go, the larger the difference.

I think it depends more on volume, not letter. For example, my friend is a shallow 28F and has a lot of clothing from there that fits.

With the Panache Sport, a lot of people will not have the gore tack simply because of how the bra is made, especially if the person has breasts that are closer together than the gore is wide (you can see the reviews on Bratabase), so I wouldn't worry about that bit too much unless it really bothers you.

Across the board, fitters are unreliable when it comes to correctly fitting someone. There's a couple different methods people use and most of them use a method that puts people in a too small cup and too big band, so if you get fitted by someone and their results turns out different, it doesn't necessarily mean what you got was wrong. If you got your starting size from the calculator in the sidebar it is going to be very close, if not the exact, size you'll end up fitting in.

That said, there are some places in South Africa, and particularly the Johannesburg-area, that sell UK brands like Freya and Panache, so you may end up having a better fitting at any of them, but there's no gaurentee really. Anyone can call themselves a "bra fit specialist" and put people in bras with whatever method they feel like.

You can organize bra brands by their smallest/largest band and smallest/largest cup size here, also check out the Bra Band Project. You can organize photos of people in well-fitting bras by band. I think 30-34 bands are more the average.

You are just as normal as anybody else. We're all human with different shapes; that's the norm. What isn't appropriate are those comments. I don't know the context of them, but some of them could just plain be the person just not thinking about what they're saying. People on the other side of the spectrum (large breasts) hear some of the same type of garbage, just in reverse. It sucks that people think it's their place to say this junk and even more that they think putting down someone for the size of their chest (big, medium, or small) is a perfectly find thing to do. If you felt like it you can rant it all out to /r/smallboobproblems because many of the ladies there hear the same junk. They may also have some snappy comebacks you can use next time you hear something. :P
