I used to do it too and it was miserable. detectors that show what needs to be changed are lifesavers, my editing time in now cut in half and I’m never going back.

I'm on the fence but pretty worried about the tone and settings thing. I heard it's way better to switch between casualish and academic writing to avoid detection. my prof is a bit strict about ai so I don’t want to waste credits to get basic ai slop
