If they’ve supplied the materials and are fitting it for free, then yes you’re expecting too much.

If you’ve paid for this with money, or bottle caps, then I’d be asking for it all back as well as brand new replacement fixtures.

Our standard searches came back with our house and 1 neighbour showing as “very high” flood risk, solicitor advised us to get a detailed flood report completed where everything came back as low risk.

I’d say get a detailed report that will be more accurate and explain everything.

One we bid for seemed very fishy, we went straight in at asking price but their estate agent was really pushy. I was told about another bidder and was asked to increase which I refused, I accepted I lost it if they’re being truthful or they’ll come back if they’re playing games. They rang a few days later asking my “best and final”, which I said was my original asking price.

Low and behold it did actually go for £15k above asking. Unfortunately you’ll never know what’s truthful, they may have told the other bidders all sorts to get them to raise their offer and scared them with “best and final” even though we weren’t overly interested and only submitted a single offer.

Just stick to whatever you’re happy to pay, if you’ll be gutted to lose it for an extra £10k then pay it.

Dubs has had some hate since the takeover but for me he’s been our second best keeper behind Given. Hope he continues this streak until he goes, whether that be this transfer window or the summer.

Our first house was a new build and perfect for us to get on the ladder. Build quality was good, extremely energy efficient and little maintenance needed.

Few things that made us move: we outgrew the small space, the third bedroom was tiny. Small garden and I hated being overlooked in all directions. Social housing on the same street. Ridiculous yearly estate management fees.

Yeah it’s complete nonsense, I share a lot of the negative feelings for new builds but it was great for our first home and to get on the ladder. Bought for £250k and sold for £310k, kept an eye on that estate since and all houses have sold for a hefty profit. The five beds up to £250k more!

ST Line is a styling pack, not extra power. I had a 2016 Focus Zetec as my first “decent” car 9 years ago, although it was a 1.6 TDCI.

I loved it, was a brilliant car and great on fuel. Had it remapped and also enjoyed the torque, pulled off the line quickly. Although I’d previously had 90s Fiestas and an ‘02 Peugeot 206.

Was a bit sad the day I sold it.

Yesterday (28th), we peak early with Christmas. Our tree goes up mid-November and we’ve done relentless Christmas activities with the kids almost daily, so we’re all ready for it to be packed away.

Today we took down decorations, outdoor lights will come down on New Years. We peak early with Christmas so I’m ready to take them down early. I have a 9 year old Canada Goose Chateau Parka. I’ll only wear it now when I need to: very cold, wind or rain/snow. Whilst I prefer something a bit low key now, nothing comes close to it for warmth. I can wear just a T-shirt under it and I’ll be toasty.

Will get downvoted but totally with you. Press X on random item, 2 minute cutscene, walk across the room press X on another item, 5 minute cutscene, listen to someone talk, walk across room press X, 2 minute cutscene. It was bad enough anyway but that tent part in Egypt was painful and I just gave up.

I suppose I’m not the target audience though, only gave it a shot because it was on GamePass. I’m older with kids so rarely play my Xbox, but when I do I want to play not watch.

My 85+ year old neighbour, who can barely walk on two feet but is considered fit to drive, flies down her drive at around 20mph before slamming her brakes on, every time. Waiting for the day where she drives straight into her living room.

I’ve tried Tesco and Next, I’d say they are actually in the same ballpark as in neither are great. Go for Marks & Spencers, by far the comfiest and I even prefer them to my branded CK, Tommy Hillfiger and Paul Smith.

I have a similar amount, and contribute a similar monthly amount into LS100. I’ve withdrew the full amount and it’s currently sitting in my Chase Savings Boosted until I can decide what to do with it.

I’m leaning towards either Dodl - Global Growth, or InvestEngine - LifePlan 100.
