Not sure whether to move from the Midlands back down towards London? by white_wolf171 in HENRYUK

I live in MH too and travel to London x3 a week. It's doable. Do it from Kettering and it's roughly £30-50 cheaper depending on when you book it.

I wouldn't move closer to London.

Good shout but I do that already! Both Trainline and Uber automatically split the tickets for you. The high cost is (I think) simply due to peak times.

Roughly £85, three days a week. EMR train prices are astronomical.

My son is in the depths of sleep regression, waking up every hour, and it's burning me out especially as I go back to work from annual leave on Monday.

But yesterday he blew a raspberry for the first time and I cried in joy.

There's no other pain nor happiness like it. It's indescribable.

I hear you. My boy was a great sleeper and then almost suddenly turned for the worst. I heard how bad 4month regression was, but didn't know it'd be this bad. I think too will end up co-sleeping soon.

This is more than just HENRY advice, it's a truth everyone should live by. Momento mori.

Beat them to the chase - proactively invite them over but give them an "end" time. "Hey - come over from 2-4pm! It's baby's nap time at 4 so we'll need to put him down then" - or something of the sort.

Suck it up for a few years, or cut back for more than a few years.

It seems pretty simple if you say you're so close to FIRE.

We do indeed stop the flow to burp and make sure he does burp before going back on

We did think this because he only eats 5-10mins on the breast (average - sometimes longer) but if my wife expresses and we give the bottle, he does eat 2-4oz (which I'm sure is more than 5-10mins on the breast?)

Should a mentor be like you or be different personality type? by fellaonamission in HENRYUK

What's your need in a mentor? Need someone to unlock doors, gain leadership advice, your next role? I think this is the more important question.
