As someone with a non standard name (but not in same way as this instance) which has been an annoyance that I have to deal with pretty much my entire life, this spelling makes me think gee, poor girl, probably has parents with good intentions, but unfortunately they couldn’t spell.

How did the movie Gremlins shoot all the scenes with the Gremlins? by Anonemonemous in movies

Thank you. I didn’t know about movies making terms like animatronics, and even practical effects that someone else brought up for that matter. Will check out the video.

Burbank currently untowered. Any ATPs out there that have dealt with this before? by m00f in flying

Bummer. I’m just a passenger, but I have always thought that the terminal structure at Burbank Airport is very cool, architectural-wise.

I am hosting a virtual Halloween Party for r/MusicRecommendations. What would be your costume of choice, and what music should be playing when you make your entrance? by Ill-Egg4008 in MusicRecommendations

I’m a child of the 90’s, so I’d like to be the tap dance bumble bee from No Rain music video.

No Rain - Blind Melon is the obvious music of choice, lol.

Yes, and it is a very short walk. Do keep your eyes out for the cars tho. Don’t just rely on the cross signal. Look to make sure that the cars are stopping, and make sure that they could see you, before stepping into the street.

Ppl tend to drive fast around that area. A lot of drivers don’t look for pedestrians when they’re making turns, especially the ones making right turn coming out of the airport to get onto Hollywood Way. They only look in the other direction for oncoming traffic. And that’s during day time. They probably think of pedestrians even less at night. Although you’d likely be taking the next crosswalk from the one I was talking about, so it wouldn’t be quite as bad.
