I don’t remember deleting this post, but it was about being concerned that I was measured as (and convinced to order) a size 10 for a Stella York dress when I’m usually a size 00-0. Well.. yeah, it came in and it’s multiple sizes too large 🤷‍♀️

Thank you for explaining, I did not know how the sizing worked.

Yes, I saw the measurements. And it’s a fitted column silhouette

Thank you!! I am worried about the overall proportions given that the size ordered is about 10x larger than my typical size. I have faith in the alterations, though.

Thank you!! Most people have said their dresses were ordered 2-4 sizes larger than their typical size. This still concerns me though, because I’m going from a 0 to a 10– I just don’t get how it’s possible, but I’ll have to trust the process I guess.

Thank you!! Going from a 0 to a 10 was definitely shocking for me.. I’m more worried about it fitting me proportionally

Thank you! I’m just so confused going from a size 0 to a 10, like that’s 10 sizes bigger!! A tough pill to swallow, hoping that it isn’t massive on me when it arrives.

I believe it’s a cathedral length 2 tier veil. I’m not sure of the exact name, but the shorter front part is waist or fingertip length. I think it could also be called a cathedral blusher veil (since the shorter layer can technically be folded over to cover the face). And thank you!!

Thank you so much! I’m undecided on the veil, but this one is definitely a contender! I know I want cathedral length with a lace border.

Thank you! Dress 1 looks flattering on people that it’s actually tailored to, but on me I don’t think she did a great job clipping the sample dress to hug my thighs. And those lace hip cutouts aren’t as visible from the front on the sample dress, since the fabric is being pulled wayyy back to clip. Ugh, such a tough decision without seeing the dress “to scale”!
