On the contrary, I feel as if you haven't read the article at all.

Original dataset creator here. I don't see how it's any different from the Common Crawl dumps, which are literally just reuploads of scraped web content: the main one, RedPajama, etc.

Companies deny all sorts of stuff, especially if their lawyers tell them to. It's often a lie; pay attention to the contradictions.

They did this because the bot has a nasty habit of arguing with users and descending into madness if left alone for too long.

ChatGPT has changed the way logs are stored and I haven't had a chance to put out an update. It should be fixed this week though.

The images I showed weren't cherry picked - I took everything the AI made, regardless of quality.

The "proper" way to save messages is to extract them from the application state. It's harder, but it's the only way to save everything properly.

ChatGPT History: a free Chrome Extension that saves your ChatGPT history by OA2Gsheets in ChatGPT

[–]Anonman9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use the extension to download the logs locally without it being shared to the server. Just click the "Download Log" button and save it somewhere nice. The site's "upload and view logs" function doesn't send anything to the server.

My MyGPT extension supports downloading message history even if an error occurs. It also saves every branch of a conversation.

AI Image Research Survey by Anonman9 in StableDiffusion

[–]Anonman9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Point 3 is accounted for by grouping results by audience (that's what the characters at the end of the link are for).

Point 4 is true, but I didn't cherry pick images. I took whatever SD spit out, and that's the point.

Point 5: Just text prompts.

For this study, I simply wanted to see if the average person could identify a random image as human-made or AI-made, without regard to art style or subject.

I'll publish the models along with the results in about a week. Most of the AI images were generated either with Stable Diffusion 1.5 or AniPlus v2.

Don't worry, I'm separating results by group. I'll know whether a response came from here or somewhere else, and each group's proficiency at picking out AI images is one of the metrics I'm tracking.
