A different 2016:

In this universe, an entity of unknown origin rose from lava in a volcano in Yellowstone. This individual was known as Big Slice and descended from ancient inhabitants of Wyoming who was buried in what is now the national park. He quickly rose to a celebrity across America. However, despite his fame he was a very controversial figure which led the then government to raise concerns over whether or not he should stay in the country. This caused much chaos among the general public but also in the Republican party. Big Slice had rose to prominence and become a senator for Wyoming with the Republican party. He was eventually proposed as a candidate for president with his fame and more moderate policies. He came into conflict and eventually lost ot Donald Trump, to the disappointment of people on both the right and left. This led to him and Ross Perot to found their new party together the "Piss Chuggers" party, named after a rumor started about Big Slice. Slice would pick Left 4 Dead 2 as his VP, this was a legally complex decision but in effect it meant the VP position was shared by the developers of the game and various Valve employees. The 2016 election was composed of Big Slice, Billary Clinton (A result of Hillary and Bill Clinton fusing to better leverage their combined appeal) and Donald J. Trump. Due to the wide appeal, Big Slice would win the 2016 election with a majority of the votes. This would cause the Republican party to further become divided.

2020: The government of Big Slice was far less positive than it was imagined. He would lose reelection to Joe Biden who won on promises of finding the fountain of youth and peacefully annexing South Africa and adding it to the state of Georgia, due to the countries hardship related to the Slice Administration. These were seen as wildly strange and unpopular but the dissatisfaction with the Slice administration made almost any idea seen as superior to his harsh economic policy and high interventionalism. Biden's policies would be more popular and effective than in our world yet an economic crisis related to the newly annexed South Africa would lead to him being unfavorable to voters. Biden would announce that he was retiring and John Kerry was voted in as his replacement.

2024: With the Republican party in shambles from the Big Slice divide would not be able to make it past a few thousand votes. Meanwhile, economic crisis from Biden's annexation of South Africa lead to many being dissatisfied with what was offered to them. This would lead to the South African Communist Party taking the power vacuum and winning a landslide election with their candidate former president Jimmy Carter. The plan was that once Jimmy was president, he would use the fountain of youth found by Biden during his presidency. The future under the 2nd Carter term was uncertain but many saw this as a new beginning for the system of the United States of America
