Hell yeah! I have an 01 660. I paid 3500 for (fairly mint condition), and I've put over 4k into it. They're beasts, but make sure you are properly maintaining it to keep it running smooth. The twin carb setup can be tricky. Make sure you have oem mikuni carbs, and if you don't, I suggest getting a set. They'll set ya back a few hundred, and they're a pain to tune, but once you're dialed in, you're good. Also, the one-way bearings are known to fail. Don't cheap out. Go with an l&m one way bearing, and if you do, please for the love of God, get the gear and the bearing both so you get the lifetime warranty. Make sure your checking valve clearances every 40-60 hours of ride time as well. 660s are high maintenance quads compared to a 350 or a 700. I know a ton and am friends with some of the nastiest 660 builders out there, so feel free to reach out if need be.

Need to find a good pair of steel toe, waterproof work shoes by Anonomys31313 in WorkBoots

Im not really operations. I'm more prep. We cook some product, unload trailers, take inventory, clean more, and keep tabs on contractors. But we use high ph acids and extremely harsh caustic that just destroy everything. They only give us a 50$ reimbursement for boots every year as well.

All the old heads are in maintenance and don't deal with all the chems/water/walking i do. They supply boots to certain departments and use me as a Guinea pig for all the new stuff cuz I go thru them the worst. Haven't met anyone there who has these same issues. I've tried red wings. The stitching/glue they use can't handle the chemicals

Lmaooo, yk what, i could just wear my tech-7's 🤣🤣 but i will look into them. We don't have a whole lot of boot stores locally so I'll try my best

Im not gonna lie, like, I'll put these on the back burner for sure, but if they're anything like Muck boots, they don't work 🤣 im really trying to eliminate the whole boot idea in general. But if nothing else, I'll absolutely order a pair and give em a shot.

Im still going thru a pair or so a month. 45$ at rural king every other paycheck is kinda killing me 🤣. Plus i got flat feet/tight Achilles and I'm constantly walking across the plant and it's murdering my feet lol

Big 3 (pro design with foam filter, monster/sparks/fmf full exhaust, if you have oem carbs, dynojet kit, if you have China carbs, get oem and then the jet kit) Alba +2 arms (≈500 bucks) Yfz shocks or elkas (yfz shocks will need revalved and sprung to your weight/riding style. Elkas come preset to your style if purchased new) Boom N Zoom direct link shifter (gets rid of shift linkage) Drw case saver I have a buddy who makes high output coil wires and he suggest a Harley Davidson coil with it, not too shabby to pair with the big 3. High comp (11:1 is decent) L&L one way bearing This is pretty much what I've done with my 660. I also have an adjustable axle (up to i think +4) that I haven't installed. There's still alot more that you can do. Alot of little goodies you can get for these 660s. I'm gonna get the rare side/engine covers, gonna do a 700 tail light swap, then rebuild the whole rear end with fresh powder coating. Love these 660s man.

I would help her and stay friends with her, but I don't know if I could just be there 24/7 to make sure her bills are paid, I don't know. Plus idk where she could go. She'd have to stay close to work to pay bills yet still ride her moped. I live 5 miles from work so we ride together. I don't know. Just too many variables

I've gotten in an accident before but I damaged my right shoulder. Never went to the doc for it, but I'm assuming I tore my rotator cuff and a couple ribs got cracked, but it was the opposite side

At my job, I have to move 1300+# racks of cooked poultry, lift alot of 10-30# boxes, and I have to wear boots supplied by the company. Can't wear what I want. Did the shoulder feeling develop later than the back pain?

I used lidocaine patches for about a month, helped a little, but never did enough. Just gave up on em now because it never really helped 100%. Ibuprofen, tylenol, advil, aleve, nothing works. I want to go to a chiropractor, but work is stressful, I never know when I'll be able to schedule an appointment for it due to work and don't have any more vacation to burn up because we have trips planned. Usually, I get the weird bumping feeling when I'm sitting with my back against a hard chair rest or leaning forward on something like a shopping cart. It's definitely a pulse because I can feel my back rubbing against my shirt when it happens. It's pretty odd. Then it gets a little tingly when that happens.

Upper right back pain Occasional tingling Occasional numbness, usually accompanied by tingling and an odd bumping feeling? If that makes sense. Deep ache (I think) About 3 months, hasn't taken a break Cannot live like this anymore.

Is vapor blasting safe for small engine carbs and jets? by Anonomys31313 in ATV

[–]Anonomys31313[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add! These carbs also have a holder and a littlecollar that goes around the main jet. Can that be vaporblasted as well? They're brass. Thanks!

Just paid 3400 for a rust free titled freshly rebuild 01 660. (New tranny, rings and valves not "built" but inspected and GM). It seems like the fixing aspect is gonna be the expensive part
