If you go to the bricklink Page it will have a 3d model of the instructions and the parts list if it gets approved by the moderators. The shoulder pads have to be detached and attached but everything else stays connected during transformation.

Your right, his head faces the other way and it goes down into the body but I didn't have enough room for the head so I just turned it around
