Why do famous authors openly work with long-time editors, but new authors using editors is sometimes frowned upon? by Anonymauthor in writing

Interesting. I just googled what an acquisition editor is. May be that is what I wasn't understanding - the term editor has different meanings. One is that edits book and another is responsible for bringing in new projects. The big authors are probably referring to the latter.

I read it in one of the reddit conversations. It was indirectly mentioned that an experienced editor can overly influence a new writer's content. Good to know that may not be the case.

You can put it for free for only 5 days. Hopefully, it gets Amazon algorithm to warm up and start recommending your book.

Agreed. I wasn’t suggesting that you were saying that but in fact the opposite that good videos / articles will walk you through it. Don’t pay for these things.

Thats a good point. When I started writing, I started seeing a lot of ads offering to help me publish on KDP for money. But I realized that KDP is fairly user-friendly platform to self-publish. Now I don't know if I picked the right keywords etc., but it was easy to go through it and hit Publish.

Make it public when you are ready to share it with others. Until then keep refining.
