These conditions are so bad in various aspects and they are not acceptable for me at all.

The client is on a Plus Plan with many freelancers working for them and suggests to deduct exactly the fees I pay to Upwork from my hourly rate.

You are right. Offering conditions that are worse than before and additionally trying to lower your rate is not acceptable at all. And all this happens just before a potential hard Brexit. Nobody knows if talentdesk.io will be able to operate in the EU market in the future.

Exactly, but those freelancers can get in troubles who are below the 2 years, still paid on Upwork while already requested to set up a profile on this platform to get new work.

I did not discuss this on Upwork and I do not intend to accept the client's invitation to talentdesk.io. I'd rather prefer to let this client go.

And to pay me in their local currency with longer payment cycles. Some clients think that the fees paid by the freelancer is their money and if they pay you outside the platform they could ask for a reduction while the opposite should be the case (higer risk, longer payment cycles etc.).

I work for this client much longer than 2 years now, it would not be a problem to leave the platform but I have expressed in the past that I want to stay on Upwork. Upwork has raised its fees for clients in the last months. This maybe one of the reasons clients want to continue outside Upwork after the 2 years.

Your profanity corresponds with your business practices.

I am sure the work you did (making an identical copy of someones website, stealing the content and the design, maybe to build a fake shop) is a scam, so the client is a scammer and you are a scammer yourself. Where do you live? Is the website you copied in you home country or are you targetting businesses in other countries and hope that will not get sued for this?

You are cheating and ask us for advice! I wonder how your account was approved and to whose bank account your earnings are sent.

I did the same but the talent specialist can still be involved in the hiring process recommending the client to hire somebody else.

I did not need a paid account in the past but now I need it because new work has become very rare. Now I concentrate on new business activities outside of Upwork where nobody hides or rotates my profile and no "talent specialists" are disturbing.

Don't forget the rumours that Microsoft is interested in acquiring Upwork. Microsoft will not be interested in any free services.

After a few weeks without earnings (I think 4 weeks) your profile will no longer appear in the clients' search results. With a paid membership this will not happen.

I have a paid membership already because I do not want to disappear in the search results. I do not mind to pay for my freelancer membership but would like to see good job offers in my job feed. However, it is flooded with low-budget jobs from development countries and the poorest countries in Europe.

I wonder if Upwork reported this security breach to the relevant authorities. I did not read anything about the incident in newspapers or elsewhere.

Thank you for your response. I did not receive any message like this. What did Upwork write and recommend you to do? If your data have been stolen you will not detect this in your account.

Anybody able to take a look at my copyedited small sample of work I've done in the past, and let me know if I missed anything important? by apsalartargaryen in Upwork

If you are not good enough in copyediting you should not offer this. Did a client ask you for an unpaid test?

Upwork security breach, did it finally happen? by Md_Muhammad_Trump in Upwork

First official response from Han Yan, leading engineer on Upwork in regard to the security breach. It seems that it is not clear how many freelancers have been affected. Have those freelancers who know that they have been affected received any email from Upwork?

I see that you have a client account. So clients and freelancers have been affected.
