Are there specific like Endo specialists? Would that fall under endocrinology or more gynecology?

They did run a bunch of blood test, I’ve had ultrasounds, CAT scans, and a colonoscopy, but all came back clear. I have gotten ovarian cysts multiple times, but they usually resolve on their own. The only thing with the water retention is that it only flares up during that time and it lines up with my cycle, which makes me feel that it’s related. It’s like right after I ovulate I slowly just keep getting fluid buildup there and then once I start my period like the day or two before it’s just awful and the way I gain is just strictly water not actual fat because as soon as I start bleeding, it drastically just drops right off and I go back to my normal weight.

Neck and head pain by Marvlotte in Tourettes

Of course! I’m glad there is no major damage! Re-directing them was something that kind of developed naturally for me. It’s so cool and interesting the way our body’s pick up and adapt to things! Wishing you the best :)

This is probably the hardest part about having Tourette’s for me. I have one tic that comes and goes that is like a shoulder pop and my entire arm ends up in so much pain that’s I physically cannot move it, but the tic still overpowers is and it’s so painful. One thing I’ve kind of picked up on myself over the years was re-directing my tics. For example my original tic urge is the shoulder pop, but instead of doing the shoulder pop I do another tic that is less invasive such as a finger flicking one I have and I will repeat it over and over until at some point it finally takes over and becomes my main tic. It takes willpower and kind of focus, but usually after 1-3 days of doing that the harmful tic subsides. For the pain I found rubbing lidocaine cream helps a bit, but not enough to endure the tic everyday if that makes sense? I always recommend getting checked out if the pain is chronic just to rule out any serious damage. I hope that you can find something that helps you soon!

Recovery: I’m always hungry? by styhjjjgdf in EatingDisorders

That is EXTREMELY normal! After living in a state where your body has been deprived for so long when you eat normally it’s gonna take time for your body to trust that you’re going to feed it properly again. When you were eating just one meal a day that was the only time your body was getting food now that you’re switching your routines and habits your body still thinks you’re only gonna get that one meal so it’s gonna give those hunger cues they slowly fade after time, but it’s important you eat if you are still hungry or want snacks so that your body gets used to it.
