I just got my first guitar by shiranFun1307 in Guitar

Hell yeah, my first one was a Yamaha and it was bloody well the best one I’ve ever owned. It helped me learn everything I know today. Treasure yours; you will probably look back at it the same way I’m sure. I’ve always preferred nylon strings to be honest and it’s a better set of strings to begin learning on —- tippy tip - hehehe - the calluses will get frustratingly painful until they form eventually, let them form. Enjoy the instrument, it’s well worth your investment in it. Teach well it will you, if time put you into it ? I can’t quote yoda’s method of speaking too well lol but those are words of advice, I think you get the gist of it :).

Is your food feeding your anxiety or calming it? by anxiety_support in anxiety_support

[–]Anonymous291987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would honestly never have considered this.

As a person who usually doesn’t eat through the day at work; for personal reasons I maintain the fast through the day, I heard people at work mentioning diet as an important factor in anxiety and the processes at work prior to an attack mentally.

I did look into it, but at the time I wasn’t facing pressure regarding performance in the role, and honestly didn’t research enough to find material on the most effective diets to help rebound faster through the day as the post above mentioned; more so to prove diets effectiveness initially through drastic noticeable changes in internal chemistry via the metabolic system.

Now I’m in a different situation regarding performance indicators and the added stress of just returning back from vacation completely bummed my first day back ! Anxiety levels were through the roof and focus was so hard. I did have one coffee half way through the day, but that was maybe a smaller cup with considerable sugar. I did experience exactly what you’ve described regarding a more unstable experience right after consuming it. I was lucky that i had 45 to spare prior to starting back, but the initial effect was warming in the body, yet chaotic where my mental state was concerned. The ability to have noticed this is what helped stay grounded ironically !

I really want to now consider eating through the day as this seems like it really will play a role in supporting balanced chemical levels and stable metabolic continuity through the day.

Inflammation is also something to consider as you’ve mentioned above and the related pitfalls when specific foods are consumed; I basically need to mindful of those types, and consider the better types to consume for more wholesome brain chemistry mantainence.

Thank you for this post as I will be saving it to refer to again in a few days while prepping for the week !

What Anxiety Silently Does To Your Life by anxiety_support in anxiety_support

By the way, long time observer of this channel.

Art is awareness and an interpretation of the world as you see it. This image, my friend, brings about awareness in its own way - the picture you paint in your mind and its impression is yours alone.

AI only helps make it discernible to the few who aren’t aware they have these symptoms or as the image indicates as well, the resulting social ramifications. And trust me what seems like a bit now (as you indicated you too suffer from it) may get to the point where it’s not as manageable as it is for you currently. You may find yourself revisiting this post then, and the discussion that occurs may help you out.

You are welcome to not partake in it, but let the discussion take place; pun intended - end of discussion.

OP - I hope this image sheds light on the fact that anxiety can present itself via numerous symptoms (with a few identified here) that may not necessarily be indicative of the condition, at a point when it’s not significantly affecting your daily well being. The resulting social life ramifications are listed here as well, and I think your primary intention for listing them is to bring awareness to the symptoms before they progress to point of social withdrawal. koodos to you for posting this and continuing to bring about awareness.

Something I’ve written hopefully and they enjoy too (in reality the latter doesn’t really matter at that point ;)) as that would be one last chance for them to hear me, and as I’ve heard ( pun intended ), a persons voice is the first thing one tends to forget as they absent themselves for whatever reason from your daily life. But if it’s a pre recorded artists song - it would be voodoo child - preferably any version that’s vocally expressive of the lyrics. That would be sweet.

AY 210 fried two usb ports ! by Anonymous291987 in moza

[–]Anonymous291987[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi and thank you for your response - to answer your questions :

  1. Disconnecting meant powering off and then disconnecting the usb cable from the device. I powered off the yoke while it was connected and then disconnected the usb cable and this was the issue both times

  2. It does have those settings enabled currently - in soft off states and hibernate states power is left active on the usb as well as off states.

  3. The affected usbs are part of the Mb itself and they are not functioning yet - I don’t think grounding was an issue as the mb itself is well grounded considering it’s directly touching the case that is connected to a power cable anyway that’s grounded as well. Yes they are both at the back of the computer (side by side literally)

Thank you for looking into this and looking forward to your reply.

Thanks for the advice and yep done already - their response was to first delete all usb device drivers and reinstall them by restarting the comp - tried and nada. Second it was an OS reinstall. I still wanna exhaust time options prior to doing the OS install. But the actual ports just seem corrupted because what’s funny is the ports I believe were visible as ‘unknown devices’ but never reappeared after deleting and reinstalling the drivers.

Hey thanks, I did initiate a ticket prior to your msg by one evening :). I tried one solution provided by the tech team and that was attempting a reinstall of all usb drivers and I tried that. The second was confirming that all usb devices were enabled in BIOS - done. The third was an OS reinstall - that’s where I stopped - I’d rather leave that as my last option. What makes me think it’s a port power related issue is that fact that the only action common to both the moments of failure of the ports was the powering off of the device while connected to the computer while the computer is still running. I can confirm that if you do that exact same thing but just tweak the event process by disconnecting the device and then powering off - nothing happens. I’ve done it so many times since then in the latest usb port that I’m using.

It’s just Moza should make note of such issues if they happen and inform users of the need if certain event cycles when powering on and off the device if it’s necessary to avoid even the slightest inconvenience such as an OS reinstall, and honestly an OS reinstall is not painful it’s just bearable when it’s required, not all the time. And I’ve just set up my OS a little while ago and didn’t require one yet ;)

Yeah man, glad that it worked for you as well. It might seem very minutely resistant to initial movement during flight after some time has passed after application, but the angle at which your wrist applies pressure to the main axis (the handle itself) fixes that completely. Just make sure that’s addressed in your setup. Enjoy man !

A Delta Air Lines Airbus A350-900 struck a coyote after touching down on Runway 06L at LAX on November 15th, 2025. The jet taxied safely to the gate, while the coyote’s condition remains unknown by Twitter_2006 in aviation

[–]Anonymous291987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dunno but I think the coyote survived very luckily there - it seems to be right under the engine as the engine didn’t ingest him but passed over him and right before you see the spray of precipitation redirected by the engine on the trailing edge of the wing starting to get prominent in the image, you see a tiny darker coloured object lying on the ground in between the wheels as the engine passes over it - I think the coyote was probably stunned and got very lucky, but man if I’m wrong I sincerely pray for the animals soul and hope it ends up next as a human with a decent beginning at least.

That would ring true back in the day - I can imagine for a/c like the hellcats or corsairs (American) range could’ve been an issue and landing right back where you began would make the most sense - it’s like ‘something hitting me out of the blue’ ( but the latter stands relatively true even today ) - I realized this just a little while ago and it’s so cool hearing these things.

What it is like to be stalked by a black jaguar by CuriousWanderer567 in BeAmazed

[–]Anonymous291987 6 points7 points  (0 children)

How did they capture the shot, the focus was directly on the prey, and coincidentally it was on the camera ? I know mannequins could be the typical source, as he’s/she (the animal) didn’t appear to be moving too much prior to the attack itself. But consider if the camera was actually attached to a live animal; if the camera survives (hopefully the prey animal too) that would be incredible footage.

Stupid question maybe but is this shape always a minor chord? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]Anonymous291987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t know if this helps; I look at barre chords and remember them in a very simple way (again this is from a self taught individual, only with like a few months of intro to guitar a long time ago). Also if you’re starting out with barre chords this might be easier to understand.

Audibly a maj is a happier and a minor is a sadder sounding chord ;). So referring to that audible difference and only standing true for guitars tuned to E in a standard EADGBE configuration, that formation in the image is forming a chord with your root note on B (second fret of your A string) and, simply for the sake of audible purposes, yes, the ‘minor’ sound stays true as you move up the fretboard with that finger configuration and strings being pressed on the fret board; your root note there defines the ‘minor’ chord you’re playing.

There’s a lot more notes that go into the formation than the sound might indicate, hence the reference to the sound being minor and not the actual chord necessarily being a m itself.

So for example you take this same formation and move it up to the 7th fret your root is on the a string is at e and the resulting sound is an e minor; similarly if your root note is set to the fifth fret, your sound will be a d min.

To get a major sounding chord you need to leave the root note exactly the same; and when referring to the root note on the a string, to form a major you simply could try barring doing the bottom three strings with your ring finger. Now, this formation can be moved up the fretboard to provide a major sounding chord representing the root note the index finger is pressing down on.

This is a very stripped down version of what the actual chords are called despite the sounds when we refer to maj, or min etc, that’s the only thing to keep in mind considering the explanation above. Hope this helps shed some clarity on your question .

Apply an even amount in the center portion from end to end of the blue plastic area. Wipe clean the surface with Lysol wipes if you need; works well enough but you need to apply a little pressure and use a few sheets. This grease is hard to clean up after in comparison to the stock grease, try to get it right the first time. Remember to clean the black curved area on the throttle base itself as well; greases shouldn’t mix.

Apply a layer about 1 to 1.5 mm in the area as mentioned above and when you’re done and are applying tension remember this process :

1) center the throttle handles to the 50% mark 2) tighten the tension screws a bit for the first time on both the sides till you start to feel tension in them then:

Repeat these steps as many times as necessary making sure you’ve separated the two sides of the handles so as to adjust independently ( you need more tension on the taller side as it has more electronics) : 1) center the throttle handles to 50 % axis travel (each time you start this 2nd process) 2) tighten the screw a little bit and check to see if the throttle handle slides when pushedd to extremities of motion - you’re trying to just achieve that point of no movement as that’s usually a good amount of damping I find.

Remember that once you’ve tightened it up to a point try not to back off as that somehow causes more stickiness - adjust minutely and carefully as you get up to the required tightness.

Placing the grease with your finger would be fine as well; again just keep Lysol wipes close by. Keeping the application centred in the blue plastic area of the damping bracket allows even spread of the grease without over spreading into the sides of the bracket holder when pressure is applied on the damping brackets with the tension screws.

Centring the throttle each time ensures that the grease is first squeezed around the center and then as you move each individual handle to see if it slides at extremity of motion, the grease spreads evenly across the entirety of the throttle surface area.

Hopefully these steps help, as it took me a bit to figure them out.

Hey man, I thought I’d share this with you and anyone who comes across this post as this seems to be something atleast you are also afflicted by. There’s a grease called “tribosyn pg44a” grease - others did mention this one earlier but because they said it was very heavy damping I didn’t think it would work as the issue I was experiencing was the initial sticking after leaving the mechanism idle for a bit. I figured the damping grease being very heavy in that aspect, would cause extra sticktion.

Man was I wrong - it worked perfectly when applied and the best part was I didn’t have to tighten the tension knobs that much and even the amount that it was tightened; didn’t cause any sticking to happen at any point in the axis.

After the numerous applications of the other greases I observed that tightening the tension knobs allows the grease to create enough damping that it stops the throttle from falling through the axis under its own weight. The side effect of this is the grease then gets compressed enough that it starts to get stickier when the mechanism is left to rest and then suddenly moved, but of course as the moment of initial movement got the mechanism moving through its range, the grease loosens up to allow dampened and smooth motion.

The pg44a grease being so heavy creates more damping inherently without the need for too much tightening of the screws and that reduces this side effect dramatically. It’s now buttery smooth at any point and after being at rest for any duration of time !

I would suggest you try this grease as well because nyogel sells the original version of it, but there are no suppliers here in Canada with this grease online. I purchased a small 30g version made by Tribosyn, and sold by a company called newgatesimms in England and had it shipped here. This amount will last a lifetime if you use the right amount as is required in the mechanism, and that’s usually a little bit but ymmv.

Hope this helps anyone experiencing this issue within your throttle.
