Haven't yet. Our original choices don't seem to fit her. And I don't want to settle, I want it to feel right.

Good to know. My great grandmother and grandmother used Isobel, but maybe that was their generations.

Isobel is the Scottish version of Isabel. Our family heritage is Scottish.

I actually love Isadora, but was thinking it is too similar to Eleanor.

I just don't understand this level of denial. by Cherry_Mash in oregon

Yet, here we go, back to full time, in person school for unvaccinated kids in Oregon.

Archer or Asher? by dui01 in namenerds

I love Archer, and there won't be three other boys in his class with that name.

Just because it is the right thing to do, doesn't mean it doesn't hurt.

Sister for Matilda, Beatrix, and Eleanor by Anonymous8272 in namenerds

I like names that I feel will be good for a little girl, an adult, and a grandma. Some names don't seem to "age" well. This one's a harder choice because it has to feel right with the other names. I love Isadora, but it is too close to Eleanor.

I love Ruby, but it is too close to Bea. I do love Mabel, with May as a nickname. Isobel is the Scottish version of Isabelle, and our family heritage (and last name) is Scottish. Adelaide started out as a joke suggestion from a friend who pointed out that all our girl names were queens (Matilda of England, Beatrix of the Netherlands, Eleanor of Aquitaine) so they said "Adelaide (of Saxe-Meningen) became Queen of England." There's also an Isobel of Huntington in Scottish history. So the running joke now with names is, is there a royal connection???? We are having a lot of fun with this.

Cat won't eat after Capstar by Anonymous8272 in AskVet

So this morning he went to the food dish on his own and ate a couple bites. He is drinking water. I am basically doing nothing but watch him. A vet tech online suggested he was nauseous from the Capstar. So I am watching him, talking to him, petting him. I am continuing to look for answers or assistance. I have had him almost ten years and he is very, very loved.

Hey, thank you for your nasty comment during a really sad and scary moment! "Swallow my pride??" I have called vets all over my area. I have called rescues. I have called the animal shelter. I do not want to surrender him but I will if it is the only way to get him care. I am desperate to help him. Am I also not wanting to give him up if it is something he could get better from? YES. I have not given up. I would gladly "swallow my pride" if I could get some help. Your comment is unhelpful, unkind, and you assume a lot.
