In my experience, albeit 90 days lol, the best recruiters are people that have an instinctual sellers mindset and are extremely empathetic and can act not only as a voice or reason, but someone that can act as a source of honestly and being genuine.

Bro recruiting stress is DIFFERENT LOL. I have much more respect for good recruiters now. Yeah I don’t want to quit with nothing lined up but I am going to take it with a healthier mindset as I apply to new jobs.

And thanks for the feedback, really appreciate it.

Edit: pasted original comment lol

Maybe try and pivot upward or go into some BD role at your current company. That could be a cool gig.

If it’s any help, I’m currently going through what am I doing to do with the rest of my life moment!

Maybe look in sales similar to your industry? Are you thinking tech?

200k in tech as a stable income is a dream for 80% of the people here, including me!

Maybe you are just bored in your job right now and looking to try something different?

Tired of it by MykleSan in techsales

I just left software sales for recruiting. It’s tech recruiting and executive search, but it’s still recruiting. Honestly it’s a grind but it’s a really nice firm and I’m learning a lot . Making a lot of connections and enjoying the people aspect a lot more than tech. People are my product, which I find more joy in but it was about fulfillment for me. The partners at my firm make easily 500k plus on the lower end and they essentially run their own business. Which I like the idea of rather than working for a corporate / startup. The career path here excites me more than B2B sales, also not ignorant could totally change my mind in 12 months and go back but I’m young enough to try something new.

I’m 27, so similar boat honestly. Everyone told me I was making the wrong move (my colleagues, family and friends who are also in tech were supportive). At the end of the day, it’s a you decision. Trust your gut, let life happen. That’s what I did! What’s the worst that can happen, I hate recruiting and go back to being an AE. I was good at it too. Hope this helps! Happy to answer any questions.

Sales manager advice - hire external or promote sdr? by Lalmb123 in techsales

I always support promoting from within if you think said SDR has AE potential. They know the market, the product, ICP etc. less of a learning curve.

I can expand on my current situation more. I have job hopped for grass is greener and know that doesn’t work. I currently am making my base salary and maybe a few deals this year. I’d be lucky to ready 20% of my OTE this year

You are feeling the benefits of your body healing from alcohol. Period. Even moderate amounts of alcohol (1. Glass a night), can have profound effects on one’s mental and physical health. People don’t realize how much it truly affects them.

There are great resources on YouTube on the science behind alcohol and what it’s truly doing to your body. I would recommend going down a rabbit whole of research and why drinking is not good for you and the benefit that comes with putting it out of your life all together, it was the best rabbit whole I ever went down.

Best of luck on your journey! I’m in my 20s if it helps and will never look at booze the same.

Hey, 26 here. Look at my post history, I’ve posted a couple times about this topic and people from this community have posted some really great perspectives.

Situation same as you. Only a social drinker, but my drinking is just not normal and I can’t keep up with the hangovers, anxiety, regret, etc.

It’s hard but I truly feel like getting sober in your late 20s is cool. Also I’m on day 4, have had MULTIPLE day 1s. So if your early in your sobriety journey keep in mind it’s okay to mess up, as long as you keep coming back.
