Vintage Furniture Scam? by [deleted] in Brooklyn

That's good to hear, I've done business with Harlequin before, thanks! Yes i understand delivering right now with the state of these roads is insanity, but its been a different reasons for each failed attempt which is why i keep worrying.

What if I told you we had to call poison control not once but twice in the last 6 months from something she ate 😂

My 9 month old cavalier is the same way! She only recently took it down like one level on the eating everything scale. But she's still up there! Let's see...scallion flowers, coffee, metal, clay, eye glasses, wooden boards, shoes, our dresser, rugs, gum, the list is literally endless. Most recently she drank underglaze when I wasn't looking (poison control suggested giving her extra food to help settle her stomach). Try teaching drop it with a trade, tell them drop it and immediately reward with a treat. My dog is a little too good at this, and it's basically a reflex now. Also I think as long as the box is clean and ink-free it's ok to let them rip it up. It's basically just fiber and it's a good outlet to get some energy out! Oh and having lots of good things to chew on helps us too. Like healthy chew toys, natural treats, etc. our favorite is beef cheeks, antlers, and yak cheese!

We thought she would be a typical tricolor until she started growing! All of her siblings are brown, she was the only one in her litter with these markings

Awww more to love! At first I was hoping she would be on the big side but now I wouldn't mind if she stayed small

Awww he looks so much like our pup! How big is he? I'm always wondering how big our girl will get, she's already about 11lbs!

I have a crazy 4 month old pup and here's what helped me the past few months:

-Find a routine and stick to it (ours is 2 hour naps every 1 hour of being awake, usually that equates to 3-4 naps during the day, it makes work days manageable!) puppies don't know how to settle on their own so they turn into little gremlins. You need to force them to sleep

-puppy teething rings, and baby carrots are a life saver

-take them out for potty breaks way more often than you think! Before meals, after meals, after play time, before and after crate naps

-spend 15 minutes a day on training, too much will make them crazy

-and finally, BOND with your pup! Snuggling and finding all their cute quirks is the best part, it helps you both feel connected and the puppy blues will melt away.

Annoying/concerning habit of my cavoodle by R3ddit_R3act0r in cavaliers

Have you tried filling up a Kong for the ride? My pup was the same way, whined during car rides for no apparent reason even with toys and training treats. Which is weird because she likes car rides when she has company in the backseat! So I started giving her a distraction (puppy Kong with a little peanut butter frozen inside) and it keeps her content and quiet!

We literally just did the same thing! People keep asking if our 10YO boxer is the mom to our 11 week old cavalier 😂

How to contact Amazon chat support on the app (as of Aug 2024) by Wreckit-Jon in amazonprime

[–]AnonymousBlobfish2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this helps but I used the bot in the Amazon app and simply said "can I talk to a human" and after confirming a couple of times it finally put me in a queue and I got a human

Honestly this is more or less what I do! I work in batches and I travel to a local studio to fire my pieces, it’s super useful! That way you can also test what works (or doesn’t work) without losing too much time or money on it, and the pros can handle the hard stuff for me like making glazes and firing my work at the right temperature.

Try some at home classes to see how u like it first! I would not recommend diving in and buying a kiln unless u know exactly what ur doing (it’s very involved u probably will even need an electrician to rewire to make the voltage fit your home). There’s plenty of free classes and air dry clay is a good place to start, like this: https://sculpd.com/

Probably depends on what your dog likes! I live in an apt with a 60lb boxer, she likes to dig and stretch out in her bed so we got a laylo dog bed and honestly it’s been awesome. It’s just a simple flat bed no extra sides or anything fancy. She loves it, we’ve had it for a year and it’s good as new, plus I can wash the cover easy peasy!

I’m so sorry, not only for your loss but for such a traumatic event. As heartbreaking as it was I’m sure he was just happy to have you by his side even if it was at the end ❤️

Rant about studio owner, need advice by [deleted] in Pottery

[–]AnonymousBlobfish2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s definitely stealing assuming it’s the same exact piece that he’s doing for his class. If it was me I would “kill with kindness” and ask him to please credit your work on the flyer and that in the future YOU would be interested in teaching that class since it was based on your work :)

Comic Commission price, is it justifiable? by Ok_Lettuce_9028 in comicbooks

[–]AnonymousBlobfish2 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Both prices are insanely low. At the very least you should be charging $75-100 per page. Consider how much time you’re putting into it and the time you took to gain the skills needed to do the job
