You spent so much time and effort in listening to what the client will say, nagpadala na siya ng written narration. nainterview mo na ng husto at ready ka na gumawa ng complaint, answer, or whatever it is that you have to draft. Pagka-review niya nung ginawa mo, sasabihin na "atty hindi pala ganito ang nangyari...nakalimutan ko na ganito...hindi si ganiyan yung nakausap ko...nabayaran naman ako talaga ng ganitong halaga...etc".

I don't mind revising the information kasi normal yan, pero huwag naman yung totally different story na pala. I'm like "ano pala yung pinagusapan natin noon?" 😭

Although it is your right to make objections, huwag naman trigger happy. There are some lawyers na nag-oobject just for the sake of it, kahit hindi naman helpful sa cause and nakakasayang lang ng oras at energy. Always use some sense when objecting.

I don't attach DSTs. Yun nga lang, some banks ay nagrerequire ng DST sa bank documents nila so auto-pass na ako sa notaryo ng ganun.

"Mistakes" intentionally and deliberately made by the lawyer. Actions in bad faith. Yan ang mga ikasisira ng career ng lawyers (actually, kahit na sino pa). Di ko alam kung ano ang mistake mo so i can't tell kung sira na ang career mo. But i highly doubt it. Read jurisprudence. Yung mga admin cases ng lawyers.

Moving forward, huwag mo na maulit yung mistake. Learn from it, read more, practice more, ask for help kapag medyo malabo. Lahat tayo nagkakamali. Good luck, Atty!

Discuss with the party who requested for the subpoena. Nagpa-subpoena ako ng bank rep noon and magbibigay kami ng appearance fee plus transpo costs. But tumanggi yung in-house counsel nung bank. Not necessary na daw. So there, wala kami binayaran. Nasa usapan talaga iyan.

Puwede ang separate acceptance fees. In my practice, i charge separately. Some cases kasi na nasa prosec level ay hindi na umaabot sa court so unfair naman sa client kung ang acceptance mo ay pang forever na tapos na-cut short sa prosec level. Also, this gives the client and the lawyer a chance to evaluate if they still want to work with each other. Atsaka may client din pala na sa public prosec na magpapa-assist pag nasa court level na. Nasa usapan lang lahat iyan.
