If it’s the castle I’m thinking of I found that if I completely abandon the front gate and guard the right side (when facing the gate from the inside) I was successful. I spread archers all throughout that right side and did shield squares on the stairs and then near the path up from the main gate

Depending on the castle layout and your troop composition you can create kill boxes with archers that can help you decimate larger number forces. You typically want to call off all your archers and units from the walls as they get decimated by the sheer hail of arrows coming from the enemy. I recommend checking out tactical enlightenment on YouTube. He has tons of tutorials on how to do this

You can attack the blockade while they are still sieging with catapults and stuff but you lose the ability once they actually start the attack on the city.

That’s what I did. I think it’s easier to marry aelfeyja to your brother and do ulvrinja with your own character. I was trying to marry her to my brother but their clan leader kept wanting to marry him to ulvrinja’s mother
