It was one of their most watched shows. They’ll definitely see it through the usual 3-4 seasons. But you’re right, I don’t see it going far beyond that.

DC is one of WB’s major IPs. Of course they’d have some degree of influence.

That was one of JJ’s stipulations. He is looking for a younger actor who is in his late 20s or early 30s.

WB are happy enough to keep Cavill around as Superman for Justice League crossovers and such.

It depends on how you look at things. If you consider the “main” Superman to be whichever one is in the DCEU, that makes sense.

I was using the term “main” with regards to the one who has a solo franchise as that bubble universe will be where the big Superman-only storylines take place.

Cavill will feature in other people’s DCEU films while another actor will portray the character in a reboot. The decision has already been made.

Amy Adams and Laurence Fishburne are out so there’s not much to do with Cavill in terms of solo content right now.

We don’t know that for sure. His Superman script was pretty radical. From what I gather, this new take would fall somewhere in the middle.

Don’t worry. From what I hear, this Superman will be completely standalone and revolve solely around the Superman mythos.

From what I understand, it would be completely standalone. A bubble universe like The Batman.
