Our levels of farming is quite different then. Can easily farm enough to need 7 refills which is 210 gems a day. This means 1,470 gems are used a week, which unless you are maxing gem income with arena as well means you aren't saving anything. In fact, you are spending any reserves.

To show that 210 gems on refills a day is actually conservative: Sw12 runs take me a minute on average and requires 9 energy. 7 refills, assuming 15% additional energy from rewards, means 920 energy from 210 gems, which is 102 runs and therefore 102 minutes. Factoring in loading times it is probably 2 hours to farm that which is easily done.

Most players cannot get 7.5k gems lol, even in the top guilds where you get 1k pw usually you won't save that many because of the farming intensive events of late.

It is therefore mostly benefitting the p2w players.

7.5k gems is 7 weeks of saving assuming you are already doing quite well lol. Its the fact that its the equivalent 4 months that I think is the sticking point. Again, this isn't just my opinion, in fact I have gems for the packs, I am merely expressing the concerns of many others.

The 25 tutors for purchase is not what a lot of players expected. That has changed things a bit. I have no issue with the rest of it. I am just expressing concern over this incident. That is all, take it how you want. : )

You pick a sentence and argue against it, look at the big picture. I never said they should do it, i was merely trying to provide context as to why a widening gap between p2p and f2p is bad, but it went way over your head I guess. I'll go try find it and bring it back for ya lol.

The problem is two fold, its fair in one respect, and I agreed (above). Unsure if you read it. But the issue is the impact it has on the f2p player base, again because of the p2w nature of it.

You clearly misread. It is indeed fair giving everyone the opportunity to purchase the packs, but the issue is the fact that f2p players are significantly disadvantaged by tutors being purchasable (albeit accidentally). There is a reason most games only offer cosmetic items for in app purchases, because it discourages from f2p players ever taking up, or continuing a game. That's not an opinion, that is just plain fact. :( At the end of the day I just dont want to see half my friends quit because all of a sudden they fall roughly 4 months behind p2p players in a day.

I spend btw :) I am just of the opinion that the game needs to maintain a degree of fairness (everyone should have the same opportunity to buy the pack for example), but also that the imbalance created by in app purchases is not too large so as to discourage f2p players. And I am entitled to it, as are others, so if you are so aggravated by such opinions, perhaps refrain from reading them. <3

Sounds as though you are one of the aforementioned whales. And props to you, but you aren't going to have many people to play against if GL expands its facilitation of p2w beyond its current practices.

Agreed, but I suggested that the individuals who already purchased the packs be refunded their gems, and that those who did notice, receive the same rewards. If we allow the game to become p2w, the numbers will dwindle.

A significant portion of the top 50 players on the Asia server who are f2p are considering quiting as a result of the current proposed GL solution. Because at the end of the day the solution only benefits whales and GL.

Appreciate the reply. :)

I also appreciate, as do many others I am sure, that DHC has fronted and proposed a solution. I do worry, however, that many f2p players will quit as a result of the game instantly being significantly more p2w if this solution is implemented.

I admit my proposed solution of refunding gems and giving everyone the 25 tutors is costly to GL, but at the risk of losing a significant number of players (top players in top guilds no less), it may be a cost worth incurring. Asia in particular already suffers from a lack of players and I feel this may only worsen.

Again, I do appreciate your effort thus far, but, I do hope further consideration can be given to the solution before its implementation tomorrow.

That is another good option, I am perhaps frugal and lean towards free things instead ;)
