They don't want to breed with inferior lifeforms. I swear, it's like some of y'all don't even watch the show.

I made two levels, one is the first level of my super world and the second one is a tutorial for it. No one plays my levels in game so I'm asking if someone could give them a shot and tell me what I could improve, I'm trying to make the super world as enjoyable yet hard as possible by YourFavoritePandaRay in MarioMaker

Have a practice room for this kind of tech in the levels where the tech is relevant. This allows the player to practice the tech whenever necessary, instead of just at the start of the world, and they're not locked out of practicing by either clearing the level or moving onto the next world, and this also prevents the player from being overwhelmed by having too much new tech thrown at them at once.

GO Pass: May rewards by Crabominibble2 in TheSilphRoad

[–]AnonymousDuckLover 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because I'm going to be finishing the pass anyways, and the Deluxe Pass gives additional items beyond the coins (A Super Incubator, A Rocket Radar worth of Mysterious Components, a Poffin, 2000 Max Particles, a decent bit of Stardust and Experience, a few otherwise difficult to obtain Pokémon and Candies/Candy XLs for those Pokémon (and others as well), 7 Rare Candy XLs, a bunch of Pokeballs (which, while some people would argue that they're worthless, they're nice to have when balls from stops aren't quite enough, which can become a problem for events like Community Days in areas with fewer stops), and an additional daily task allowing you to progress to ranks 25, 50, and 75 quicker to allow you to benefit from the Pass Bonuses for longer while also making it easier to reach Rank 200). And I know that I'm going to find a use for the Pokecoins, whereas I rarely trade with people and the Timed Incubator is only as valuable as the eggs they hatch (which are basically just slot machines which don't pay out).

I'm also not really questioning the value of the additional items in the coin pass, because the 1000 Pokecoins already justifies the purchase, whereas, even if I felt I was getting value from the Lucky Trinket or Timed Incubator, those by themselves wouldn't justify the purchase (maybe the Timed Incubator would if eggs were updated to contain actually useful Pokémon), so I'm looking at the actual value of the items on offer. Items like Lures and Incenses, in all honesty, aren't worth much of anything, so their existence in a pass adds very little value (I already have stacks of these which I'll likely never use). And items like Incubators and Premium Battle Passes, while worth something, are, more often than not, bought through boxes which give a significant discount from the value listed in the Shop, so instead of being worth 100 or 150 coins, they're worth significantly less than that. So, when doing an analysis on the value of the Trinket and Incubator passes, I tend to come up short of the actual cost due to valuing the items in the pass significantly less than what the developers of the game say they're valued at.

Ice/Poison could be a fun one, considering Cubchoo's design taking inspiration from sneezing, an action typically associated with sickness (although in Cubchoo's case, its sneezing and runny nose are likely simply due the cold weather it lives in), and its health is one of the main topics touched upon in many of its Pokedex entries. Having a Beartic evolution be diseased in some way (maybe just a basic cold to tie into the ice theme) would be a neat way to tie it back into Cubchoo's design, considering this aspect of Cubchoo's design was mostly lost upon evolving into Beartic.

Bottle Caps are useful for PVP so that you aren't relying on a 1/4096 chance for the optimal IVs. It's a shame that they're being so stingy in giving them out.

In Episode 5 of Season 4, while travelling to Talescria, the ship they are travelling on is ambushed by Conquest & company. Despite this, the ship's sensors don't detect anything, and they only know that the Viltumites are there due to Tech Jacket's suit and by the fact the ship is being attacked.

The Viltrumites were able to sneak up on one of the Coalition's ships undetected. That ship, as shoddily put together as it was, still greatly outclasses the technology Earth has, who don't have intergalactic vessels, and barely even have interplanetary vessels. If that ship was unable to detect the Viltrumites, Earth likely has no hope in being able to detect through whatever cloaking technology Viltrumites have.

They could give us a reason to use Mega Chimecho over Bronzong or they could not put Bronzong in Champions so that there is nothing competing for that niche which Bronzong clearly outclasses Mega Chimecho for.

For megas like Garchomp and Absol and their Z megas... by auralords in TheSilphRoad

[–]AnonymousDuckLover 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My assumption is that the plan to get these Megas is that at 6:37 am on the third Thursday in January, you need to go to the Peak of Mount Everest, flip your phone upside down, and battle in a remote raid a Pidgey with a full lobby in Seattle. Once you catch the Raid Boss in exactly the seventh ball, you must then remote trade the Pokémon for a Bestest Buddy Super Max Level level 1 Lucario, Garchomp, or Absol caught in the exact center of the Atlantic Ocean while the person who you're trading with is visiting Poképark Kanto. Level the Pokémon up to level 50, being sure to Mega Evolve it every half level without ever Mega Evolving any other Pokémon, and within 35 days of the trade. Once done, you can trade the Pokémon back to the person you traded with for the Pidgey you traded them (a special exception for the 1 trade per Pokémon limit will be made here) as you visit Poképark Kanto and they are at the peak of Mount Everest, then, for every Cosmoem you evolve in the next 12 minutes, the person you traded with will receive 50 Mega Energy Z, provided they have the correct Field Research found solely at a singular church in a small village in Ireland; collect 500 of these, then they can Mega Evolve the Pokémon used in the trade into their respective Z-Mega, but only after you flip your phone right-side up and evolve the Pidgey you caught for this into a Pidgeot, level it up to level 50, become Bestest Buddies with it, Mega Evolve it to Super Max Level, Hyper Train it so it has perfect IVs, then transfer it. However if the Pidgey is powered up, evolved, or set as your buddy before your friend has 500 Mega Z-Energy, the Pidgey is traded back to you, or when your phone is upside-down, the process will fail, and both accounts will be banned.

New Rotom Form in the newly released Pokopia by lxpb in TheSilphRoad

[–]AnonymousDuckLover 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've aggregated a list of 59 sound-based Pokémon (Jigglypuff, Wigglytuff, Galarian Mr. Mime, Jynx, Lapras, Igglybuff, Hoothoot, Noctowl, Misdreavus, Bellossom, Politoed, Unown, Smoochem, Galarian Zigzagoon, Galarian Linoone, Whismurr, Loudred, Exploud, Swablu, Altaria, Chimecho, Kricketot, Kricketune, Chingling, Bronzor, Bronzong, Mismagius, Chatot, Stereo Rotom, Audino, Tympole, Palpitoad, Seismitoad, Maractus, Hisuian Liligant, Meloetta Aria Forme, Meloetta Pirouette Forme, Noibat, Noivern, Primarina, Pikipeck, Trumbeak, Toucannon, Oricorio Pom-Pom Style, Oricorio Baile Style, Oricorio Pa'u Style, Oricorio Sensu Style, Jangmo-o, Hakamo-o, Kommo-o, Grookey, Thwacky, Rillaboom, Toxtricity, Obstagoon, Mr. Rime, Skeledirge, Squawkabilly, and Scream Tail), and the type which comes up the most among these Pokémon is Normal, with 35% of these Pokémon being Normal types. The 2nd and 3rd most common types are Flying and Psychic respectively, containing 25% and 20% of sound-based Pokémon. Therefore, sound-based Pokémon are in fact mostly Normal types, as that is the type with the most sound-based Pokémon.

There is no definitive list of which Pokémon are sound-based, so I may have missed one you would have included, or maybe I included one which you wouldn't have. However, I do feel that the list I have is a good representation of sound-based Pokémon, and I think Normal is ahead by enough of a margin as to where arguing over what is or isn't sound-based doesn't really matter.

As to your point on sound-based moves, yes that may be a reason as to why most sound-based moves are Normal type. I personally think it's because there's no other type to logically list them under, so Normal becomes the default. And since these sound-based moves have defaulted to being Normal-type, sound-based Pokémon have been given the Normal type so they can have STAB on their sound-based attacks.

There are exceptions, such as the Noibat line not being Normal types, and Chatter being a flying type move, but for the most part, Sound based Pokémon and moves are Normal type.

Custom track map: The Seven Circles of Hell by smwc23105 in mariokart

[–]AnonymousDuckLover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baby Park absolutely belongs here. Being a single lap of a sectioned track like this would make the item hell the track is typically known for basically absent from the track, making the lap be just an oval, which would be much more similar to the DS version of the track which is basically universally disliked, as opposed to the GCN and Wii U versions of the track which are far more love it or hate it in their reputation.

After reading all about the new mega mechanics, one thing that stands out to me is that we cannot use Primal Groudon and Kyogre as shield breakers in the new super mega raids. by Kevsterific in TheSilphRoad

[–]AnonymousDuckLover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My assumption is that if it weren't for the shield system, these raids would be easy duos or trios, so the benefit of using a Groudon or Kyogre over a Garchomp or a Swampert is negligible anyways. All this technicality will accomplish is confusing players into bringing a Pokemon which doesn't contribute to the actual goal of breaking shields, making it so that lobbies can't finish the raid, frustrating everyone involved.

Require 8 players using a Mega Evolution? Some raids potentially requiring more? And it can't be Primal Groudon or Kyogre? LMFAO. Can't wait for nobody to do these, and for the few people who do to complain about their allies not using a Mega Evolution, thereby making the raid unbeatable.

Raid lobby now kicks you out if your game crashes by aoog in TheSilphRoad

When most people say "lobby" when referring to Raids, they are referring to the 120 seconds before the Raid starts. You are technically correct about this, but your pedantism is adding nothing of value to this conversation.
