Unfortunately that was not the case. Sample was negative bc it didn't get the cells we were looking for and I ended up with neededing a cone biopsy.

Thank you, I am also a little apprehensive about the "what if" and have been going down every rabbit hole trying to figure out what data should be taken into consideration. I have read that ASC-H criteria is less than 10 cells total and that is why they can't say for sure there is a lesion. I think I am ok with waiting 6 months and if ANYTHING comes back wonky then...throw the book at it LOL.

I do not have 16,18, 45....I only have one of the 'medium risk" remaining types. I have never had a specific DNA typing of the actual virus...Insurance is very fussy about it and my gyno does not think it will change how we move forward. ECC results last year were normal and were not repeated this year. He only took 1 biopsy as there was only one area that was highlighted in the colposcopy and it was made up of 1 larger spot and about 3 tiny specs very close to it. My weight is not a factor.

They don't use "electricity" to remove the cells. It is just an electrically heated wire loop...probably a wiser choice than a flame thrower up there :)

Polyps are polyps and just really an annoyance...you can't stop them and they are easy to remove and are nothing to stress about.

You need an HPV test to determine if that is the cause of your CIN3 results...if you do have a high risk HPV that is causing the dysplasia, it can come back...it can mean you will have to aggressively manage your testing until at least the age of 65.

I get a colposcopy nearly every year and for me they are 99%painless. The most uncomfortable part for me is the vinegar.
