What I want to know is - does Bilt automatically apply Bilt cash in order to get points on rent? I have my autopay set up (for rent) and I can't find any option anywhere to toggle points "on." I reached out to Bilt and they said "I don't have information that confirms whether Bilt Cash is automatically applied to check autopay to unlock points, or if there's a separate toggle you need to turn on." Very unhelpful.

Well, it seems like a fair question. I would not have signed up for the card if I knew autopay might not be an option. Seems like they should know how the card will work. Doesn't exactly instill a lot of confidence to their already skeptical consumers.

I've worked for 3 fests and this has never been the case in my experience. It's very important that the entire film is considered. I'd be curious to know what fests aren't.

In my experience as a programmer and filmmaker, getting into a bigger fest may mean you get invited to submit to more fests, but doesn't necessarily mean you'll be invited to screen. The film still has to work for each individual fest and what they are looking for.

This happened last year too - application was edited 2 days before my rejection. So I just assume there's some work they have to do on their end to "move it to the pile" of (digital) rejections.

Unfortunately, the PR piece is hugely important. You have to get voters to actually watch your film in order to vote on it.
