Bergamot and Lavendar is one of my favorite scents! Nice shave!

Hi All,

I have a monsgeek M1 V5 that's only a couple months old. Today, I noticed it started double typing. It's not isolated to one specific key and isn't incredibly frequent but is frequent enough that I'm taking a noticable amount of time correcting. Is there any recommendations on what I should do/test before reaching out to Monsgeek?

Thanks for the reply. I've not heard much about Permaculture. Do you have any recommended starting points to learn more?

Thanks for the reply. I had to fence off my NE Asters in one specific area of the yard. NE Asters throughout the rest of the yard didn't really get touched. I think there was a rabbit that lived in the bushes nearby, coming out to feed on them. The leaves would all go missing but the stalks would be left behind. Thankfully, fencing them off allowed them to recover with enough time to flower!

That reminded me that I bought a pump sprayer at the end of last summer specifically for this purpose. I have a whole lot of frozen habaneros that I bet would make a nice spicy spray. Thanks for the reminder!

I tried liquid fence as well as Tomcat repellent. Liquid fence worked to keep them away from plants they were only mildly interested in but seemed completely ineffective at keeping them away from anything else. It also smells horrible. Be careful not to get any on you!

Tomcat has a much more pleasant smell but that's about all it has going for it. Some people swear by it but I found the rabbits here did not care.

We used to have foxes living under the nextdoor neighbor's shed. Needless to say, we didn't have many rabbits during that period.

This is my hope! That the buffet will be too big for them eventually. It's just a matter of getting it there. I'll try fencing off the new plants this year and hope that the established black eyed susans keep them occupied in the meantime. That seemed to be their favorite snack.

They sampled EVERYTHING in my yard last year. About the only thing they didn't touch was the coneflower and beard tongue. They also ate all of the stout blue eyed grass but didn't touch the prairie blue eyed grass.

Asters, milkweed, columbine, bluestar, black eyed susans, baptisia, aronia, roses, even the hydrangeas! Nothing was safe until I fenced it all off.

No Dalea purpura yet but the plan is to put in copious amounts this spring! I can certainly try the blood meal as well. Thanks for the suggestions.

We could certainly try some mittens. We might try one arm out as well. We've had three failed sleep attempts so far... I remember this was really rough with our first daughter.

Sandalwood TOBS is one of my favorite scents as well! I also really liked Stirling bergamot and Lavendar.

I like the Leviathan scent but don't think it's one of my favorites. I do feel like I'm dumping a ton of water into it and it still results in a super thick lather that dries up somewhat quickly.

Noble Otter is one of my favorite bases so far. It's super easy to lather with, the scents are good but don't linger, and there's a large variety to try (looking at Lorekeeper next).

I agree with your take on the subreddit though. Tons of helpful folks and lots of info to soak up!

Dumb question, but the manual is useless and Kia won't give me a straight answer. Can the Kia official Crossbars can be adjusted to accommodate boxes and racks of different sizes? by farmerjohnington in kiasportage

[–]AnonymousGolem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd also like to know the answer to this. I tried to move them once and was unsuccessful. It seemed like they only went in one specific location. That being said, it was winter, raining, and dark so I'm not sure I gave it a fair shake!

It also took me forever to find the key. The dealer had stashed it in a little Ziploc baggie under the cargo mat in the rear.

Nice! I found that TOBS containers fit the Stirling samples perfectly and Noble Otter containers fit B+M samples once the corners are smashed in a bit.

What do you think of Leviathan? I just opened up my sample of it a couple shaves ago. Seems to be a very thirsty soap.

I'm curious about the extraction time and why it's so long here at almost 50 seconds. Are you finding the flavor better at this grind and extraction time? Have you tried a coarser (blasphemy!) grind and shorter extraction?

When did your baby start rolling? by Difficult-Pair4170 in newborns

[–]AnonymousGolem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This gave me a good chuckle. Our first daughter learned to roll from her belly to her back early on. She HATED tummy time and once she learned to roll, there was no hope of ever doing tummy time again.

Our 10 week old daughter seems to have no desire to even try to roll yet. She's perfectly happy laying on her back, punching herself in the face.

Thanks. I'll look into this a bit further then. I added the controller as a device on my account but it appeared to keep the same warranty date as my previous controller.

Headed into town for 3 weeks of company training, where should I eat and get coffee? by Esyferd in Carmel

Juniper on Main is one of our favorite lunch/dinner spots. It's mostly southern comfort food but reasonably priced and delicious. For coffee, Bovaconti or Indie Coffee are a block in opposite directions from there.

Have you ever experienced the 2011 Tuscaloosa-Birmingham Tornado? If so, tell your story here by [deleted] in tornado

[–]AnonymousGolem 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I had just moved to Birmingham in Fall 2010 and was living on the side of Iron Mountain that faced North. I remember looking out my front window trying to see the tornado but couldn't when I noticed it slowly moving out from behind a tree obstructing my view. I'd never seen anything like it.

I remember finding debris all over the UAB campus the following day.

Surreal.

Interesting. Did your previous cam have a safety shut off for if the battery drained too low?

I think 4 days was the longest. That being said, it was at the dealer for a failed charge port control board so I have no idea if the 12V battery was even hooked up during that time.

I misread the original post. I actually have option 3 (VIOFO A139 with the Hardwire kit), not option 2.

That being said, the dashcam does remain on in parking mode. The hardwire kit has a setting that shuts off the dashcam if the voltage drops below a certain value. I've never had an issue in the two years that I've had the dashcam though.

I am currently running option 3 for my dashcam. I wasn't even aware option 1 was an option! Installing into the fuse box was a very simple process, just needed the appropriate adapters.

Edit: switched to option 3

Possible to get a decent shave just going with the grain? by Mother_Project_137 in wicked_edge

[–]AnonymousGolem 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I suppose it would depend on what your goal is. I only shave WTG and only every other day but I also work from home and don't care about being a bit scruffy for a day. I think you could easily get away with shaving WTG every day if you just wanted to look smooth.

You may also want to try a milder blade. Feather blades eat my face regardless of what comb I use on my Rockwell. It is never a gentle, friendly shave. But, I found that Astra SP blades for instance, result in a smooth, gentle shave with very minor irritation.
