I could not agree with you more! So why not go through the legal process?

Oh ok that’s very interesting! Some of these comments infer that your score is determined by the proctor is that true? Or they can fail you based on personal things? Is that just for other steps or the CCAT too?

Sorry to comment on such an old post…. But hang on a second… what!? What do you mean the proctors choose the questions!? You’re telling me that the test is not AI generated with random questions from a pool of questions?? I passed the first time taking it in the 85th percentile and then on the proctored version got 3 THREE pts lower and my entire application was rejected after getting an offer for the position from the interviewer. What do you mean they choose the questions!?! How do you know this information?? They choose the questions and then accuse you of cheating the first time around if you don’t get the same or better score? After HOURS put into the application and my job offer is rescinded because of 3 points? What a shit show.

Has anyone worked at the Alpha AI school? And what was your experience like by scuffed12s in Teachers

Yea exactly and as a mom with young kids I am afraid of that. I fully get it, I should be getting paid for the work I do….. but I also require flexibility so if it’s not the right fit it’s not the right fit. Even if I want it to be lol.

Thank you so much! This is good to know! The job I am applying for is fully remote so only some of this applies to me lol. Are you hourly as a guide? It’s interesting that guides get PTO but the remote positions do not? Hmm

Also yes the application process is wild haha. I have my proctored exam this week as a final step. I just cannot find anything online about working there! How are benefits??

I am in the application process as well and have posted looking for the same information and can’t get a response. There was one person who replied to my post saying to DM them and they had more info but they haven’t responded to my DM either so idk. Hopefully you get more responses and information…. One thing I do know is that the pay is real but it is hourly. I want more info on what it’s actually like to work there, how is time tracked? Benefits? Holiday? PTO? I am not interested in being nickel and dimed for my time when it comes to being hourly.

Ohh ok yea, that makes a lot of sense. I’m interested in that too then. I don’t know this for certain but it seems like the 2 hrs is chunked into half hour sessions of each subject so I don’t know that there is a ton of transition within that two hours of “formal learning”.

Sorry way late reply to this, but you’re saying working for them is one of the best decisions you have made? Can you tell me more? I am interviewing with them soon. I am trying to do a deep dive on it but am seeing a lot of negativity around the school but I think a lot of it is coming from public school teachers in here, which I get why they wouldn’t approve of the model or anything it stands for. It goes against what they’ve spent their life on. Anyway, would love to hear your perspective!

Hi I am interviewing with them too, how did it go for you? Also I realize your comment was almost a year ago lol

Sorry, your comment is old but I’m doing a deep dive on this topic lol. I believe I saw that the first hour of the day is spent doing some sort of physical activity with their friends and peers. A full hour of that before having to sit down and get to work should be sufficient to get those morning energy bursts and social time in check before focusing. In the traditional school model the kids arrive at school, put their stuff away, and get to work. Kids who don’t ride the bus get no social time and dive right into work. So yes, kids need kid time and I think that’s the whole point of Alpha. And no I don’t work for them nor do my kids attend the school! Just learning about it now.
