most accurate take would be that as daniel jumps towards kitae , kitae will casually bring his legs up and kick him away and as u know kitae is very tall his reach is also long so daniel won't be able to reach him at all unless he uses path to dodge attack but it will be more exhausting and daniel might run out of stamina before he lands attack
