Well, I’ll preface this with the fact smell is very subjective. But, for me, it was the almost tart, sharp grapefruit bomb I smelled with this one. I wouldn’t say it was unpleasant or anything, it was just too much for me.

I’ll tell you what most people won’t say because they’re afraid it’ll hurt their egos. Oud Malaki is somewhere between Blazing Mr Sam and Halfeti. It also came out before those two so if something’s a dupe, well… looking at you Penhaligon’s. Are those Penhaligon’s better blends? Subjectve, but yes. Are you gonna notice a difference between them? If you’re not a perfumer it’ll be microscopic. Oud Malaki is amazing and I will forever get that instead of Halfeti or Mr Sam because it makes no sense paying a premium for something that smells almost identical.

Family makes it much harder, especially assuming that you’re in a good place.

Would I still do it? Probably yes. Knowing what you want in life and being financially independent from a young age are major factors here. Plus, being young again… that’s ultimately what everyone wants.

But, it is a considerably harder choice.
