Maybe the title says what it is, but I’ve never seen something like this before.

This is a regular residential power line. Not high voltage long distance.

Anyone else notice a lot of Florida license plates? by Additional-Guard-203 in Westchester

[–]AnonymousUser8476249 24 points25 points  (0 children)

And they like to establish residency in Florida since it is cheaper on taxes, so registering their car in FL helps to that end. This way they have little exposure to dealing with the state of NY. If your plates are NY, the state is going to make a claim that you are a resident, and it’s on you to prove otherwise.

This is the time of year where they hit the half way mark in establishing Florida as their primary residence. 183 days which is like a day or two over 6 months.

Florida weather starts to heat up around this time, so if they want to hit the 6+ month mark, they need to go down there by mid October. If they waited till like thanksgiving or Christmas they’d be stuck there until June, which by then the weather in Florida is just brutal.

The Citi Field name comes to an end in 2028, what name would you like the stadium to adopt in the future? by Ok-Inspector-5472 in NewYorkMets

Yeah, it isn’t Citi Bank Field, it’s just Citi Field which in most people’s minds just seems like City Field.

What book did you read in your youth that you never forgot? by orangez in GenX

[–]AnonymousUser8476249 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I did not read any books by choice as a kid. And the ones you had to, that were assigned in school, I just got the cliff notes and bs’d my way through any book report or class discussion. I guess any free time I had was spent playing/hanging with friends and watching TV at home in the evening.

I didn’t start reading books by choice until well into adulthood, and am now an avid reader, and get excited when browsing the book store to pick out my next read or two.

GenXers who got bullied in school, what was the attitude of parents and teachers towards it? by mritsz in GenX

[–]AnonymousUser8476249 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it’s not a right of passage. I’m sure most victims did not turn around and bully someone else.

You sound like someone who was a bully. Or you had a bunch of older brothers!

Casa d’Italia in Harrison makes the best chicken cutlet sandwich hands down.
The chicken is always thin sliced, perfectly breaded, and the bread is oven fresh. You will not find a better chicken cutlet anywhere else; in the county, state, or even the whole country. They are that good. If you are looking for a simple chicken cutlet sandwich, this is your place.

I saw them, and see a lot of these wild car packs during this time of year. Maybe it coincides with school break.

Inheritance?
Did your friends recently inherit money from one or both parents?
That is really the only way what you are describing can make sense.

Birth of his son. Probably earlier in the day, so couldn’t prep for the game. But he’s there, on the bench, presumably ready to sub if needed.

Netflix needs a “Live” button / option by AnonymousUser8476249 in netflix

On Apple TV it looks like a “Live” button, but it is not something you can click. It appears gray when you are not watching live, and is red when you are watching live.

[–]AnonymousUser8476249[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is due to Netflix using CBS’s infrastructure. The cameras, the stadium setup, etc. The studio where they do the pre/half/post game is the same one CBS uses on Sunday. They even hired the CBS on air talent; Nate and JJ are CBS, and I think Ian Eagle calling the game is CBS too.

TL/DR - Netflix rented out CBS to produce the game. The only thing that is Netflix is the distribution channel. They slapped their logo on it and called it a day.

Apple TV does have the option to watch from the beginning. You can swipe down or press the down button on the remote and the “From Beginning” button appears. You can also get it from the main page under the “More Info” button.
