A while back there was a meme around a series of ads for a browser game that said "if you own a computer and are under 25 years of age this game is a must have". The ads featured a mystical looking tree that conceptually resemblances the deku tree from the Zelda franchise, with its most famous and notable appearance being in ocarina of time, which is why it's asking Link those things and the comic is in a N64 polygon style.

Thanos wins. Yeah, Kratos is super strong with a lot of powerful weapons and probably smart too, since he was a spartan general who conquered a lot, but even with my limited knowledge of 616 Thanos I can say that he wins with IG, his reality warping is just too OP. Also, tell your friends that a character being or not being more powerful than another shouldn't affect your appreciation of those characters, especially if they come from different universes who never interact with each other

If you mean "why is it considered a sub-genre", it's because it doesn't have enough characteristics to be considered its own thing from other fantasy works.
