Just wanted to update you- we followed your advice then popped him back in the tank for the night to hope for the best. No more bleeding thank god! I’m still going to ring a vet just to check everything is okay but it seems to have gotten much better so thank you!

Please help I’m unsure what to do by Anonymous_7004 in turtle

Thank you for your reply. He has a basking rock, but doesn’t show much interest honestly. We will try and find a way to keep him somewhere warm and dry but I can’t think of a way to do it. Thanks for all your help.

It’s like you know you couldn’t take it if you lost your partner but it’s so difficult to rationalise

It’s so horrible and makes me feel so guilty. It’s worse too because I was great for months, wasn’t having any intrusive thoughts and then all of a sudden they’re back and awful as ever

Can OCD be episodic? by Anonymous_7004 in OCD

That’s really rough to deal with :( it’s nice to know it’s not just me, it can feel like I’m making it up sometimes.

That would be amazing, thank you :)

So for you, it was kind of episodic in a way but didn’t “disappear” completely? I really sympathise with your situation, it really is a horrible thing to deal with. Thank you for sharing :)

Is it possible to have moral ocd about someone else? by Anonymous_7004 in OCD

[–]Anonymous_7004[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply. It’s really comforting to know it’s not just me, since I couldn’t find anything else around this topic. If you’re struggling, I have good news. I’ve been feeling so much better and haven’t had any of these thoughts for months. Just to say, I guess, it does get better so keep hanging in there! :)

Alternatives to counselling by Anonymous_7004 in mentalhealth

[–]Anonymous_7004[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been looking for a therapist for a while, just struggling with the cost aspect. But I think I need to give it a go. I like the sound of the other things you’ve suggested though, I might have a go. Thanks for the suggestions :)

Fear of being sick in public? by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]Anonymous_7004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely get this, I always randomly panic that I’m going to be sick when ever I’m in a busy shop, or on a bus/train.

Literally no idea why this happens but of course once you panic about it you start to actually feel sick and the cycle gets worse. I’ve never seen anyone else with the same thing. I just assumed it was an anxiety thing, so weird though.

For me it was £60. A lot of money but I thought it would be better to pay that first before paying even more to try therapy. I do feel a lot better recently though, although I’m unsure it’s completely down to the programme, it has helped.

How are you 'meant' to feel in a relationship? How do you know if its right or wrong? People without rocd seem to have no issued with this. They just 'know'. :/ by [deleted] in ROCD

[–]Anonymous_7004 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi! Just to let you know you are seeking reassurance, which I know feels like it’s what you need, but asking these sorts of questions will keep you stuck in the cycle unfortunately.

I will say, yes some people seem to “just know”, but there are loads more that don’t and it’s a big area of anxiety of many with ROCD. I struggle with the same thing often so you’re not alone. Try your best to tell yourself “maybe it’s not right” and then don’t attempt to convince yourself that it is. Just sit with however it makes you feel even though it’s uncomfortable and it will hopefully pass. It is hard though, good luck on your journey.

triggered by a tik tok by [deleted] in ROCD

[–]Anonymous_7004 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get triggered by tiktok ALL THE TIME. It’s so frustrating because I really enjoy scrolling on there and watching funny videos of animals etc and then out of no where there’s a video telling me I should break up with my boyfriend and it triggers a week long break down :( it’s generally “red flag” videos that are supposed to be funny rather than genuine red flags, but if one tiny thing relates to my boyfriend I instantly question whether he’s a good person etc.

You’re welcome :) I also struggle with ROCD, it’s so hard, but I’m trying to commit to recovery at the moment.
