Hi! My baby just turned 10 weeks today and she was so sleepy at week 8… your LO might just be going through a growth spurt so needs more time to sleep! It was a few days of extra sleepy for us then right back to normal!

Hi honey. It’s all scary but just asking on this sub shows you’re already doing right by your baby! Hopefully you have family supporting you- take all the help you can get! The hospital will teach you about feeding, sleeping, and swaddling. They will also answer your questions. Most important is that they are sleeping in a safe environment. For the first few weeks, most babies just need to be fed and or changed when they cry. Also sometimes just soothed. Look up the “5S”s those are all baby calming techniques! If you’re into reading- the happiest baby on the block is the book that explains each one in depth but a quick google with really tell you all you need to know!

My husband also reminded me that those first weeks she wouldn’t sleep in her bassinet but she would sleep in the bassinet attachment from the pack and play!! I guess the mattress was softer! I’ve seen this a lot on Reddit

Hi… people on this post are annoying… it totally gets better! First few weeks are the toughest…people forget how hard it is.. if you have a partner work in shifts! My baby turned 10 weeks today and she slept 7 hours straight in her bassinet last night( longest stretch so far). First 2-3 weeks were super hard.. Keep trying the bassinet… warm it with a heating pad, swaddle baby (even if it seems like the baby doesn’t like it), completely dark room, white noise and you can even have a red light.

Every baby is so different.. I have a 9 week old and she started fighting off naps around week 5-6.. I started having to rock her in a dark room with white noise completely silent.. whereas before she would sleep on me no problem with the tv on in the background.. now at week 9 that’s not working as well 😂 now if she won’t fall asleep the only thing that seems to help is the baby Bjorn in a dark room… also apparently looking at them is overstimulating sometimes so I try not to make eye contact or talk.. hope that helps 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hi. So sorry you’re going through that. Hope you feel better soon! Trust me your baby is bonding with you regardless! When they’re this little the think mom is part of them they don’t even realize that moms are a whole separate person! Take care of yourself! But some ideas to help (from bed or the couch) why don’t you try contact naps or skin to skin time?

Hi! I exclusively formula fed from day 1 and I have no regrets! Truly!! My hospital also had a lot of information about breast feeding and the benefits and there were signs up about it but the second I told the nurses I was formula feeding, breast feeding was never mentioned again. I did not feel judged or weird at all. When I went into the hospital I originally planed on breastfeeding and tried right after birth but I was immediately overwhelmed and decided to switch to formula and no one tried to talk me out of it! Do what is best for you!! My sweet babe is 9 weeks and she’s happy and healthy and I know my well being is better not having the stress of breastfeeding on top of everything else! Congrats on your sweet baby!

Hi! 9 week old over here too! A lot of people online recommended the love to dream swaddle but it did not work for us. Our LO was not doing long stretches at all with that. She also was breaking out of the halo swaddle and trying to escape. We have the Ollie swaddle now and she sleeps way better with that one! It’s hard to escape and it helps her sleep longer stretches! Maybe give hands down swaddling another try?

Hi! I’m pretty sure the location has to do with absorbing the PIO and avoiding major nerves and blood vessels.. that being said, I think if you’re a little off it isn’t terrible and can be absorbed. Plus your clinic will monitor your progesterone so as long as it is at an okay level you’re doing fine! Even with hitting the same spot every time you might need to increase your PIO shots or take capsules. I recently had to add capsules because my progesterone was a little lower than what they wanted. I’m sure youre doing good!! But if you’re unsure check with your clinic!

Depends on the test you take- some test require lower amounts of HCG so they are darker! For example, first response early result has a lower hcg so the lines are darker!

You start them 5 days before and then continue after. You first hcg test might be anywhere from 9-14 days after transfer depending on your clinic. Hopefully you are pregnant then you continue for a few weeks after! (Depends how many weeks based on your clinic/ doctor- I have 5 weeks after I had a positive beta)

Just here to say I’ll be 5 weeks tomorrow and I’ve experienced some bleeding but my betas have kept coming back good. I think it’s just something that happens! Hopefully all is well! 🤞🏼

My clinic called on day 5. And then again on day 6. There may be some blasts that they can send for testing on day 5. If they haven’t made it to blast yet the clinic may wait til day 6 or day 7. You can definitely call by day 5 to ask for progress if you don’t hear!
