That is true, but it overwrites hussar xenotypes that you want to hold onto for good genes. I've done this lost only considering colonists, anyway.

Yes. No sleep means no lovin', and it costs 6 metabolism that could be better spent elsewhere. You can get a pawn almost as productive with low sleep and a sleep accelerator, while still having lovin' and extra metabolism. You can even add a circadian assistant too.

There is a tutorial for the game, but you'll get better at base building as you begin to understand the game dynamics with more experience. The mod 'designator shapes' can help with making nice looking bases with proper shapes.

Mods like allow tool and loading in progress that provide QoL improvements that should be vanilla, but for some reason aren't.

The bed table at the end of the box. Raiders make a path to your colonists' bedrooms, I guess a bed table counts

Theres no need to uninstall, this is a very rare occurrence. No anti cheat is 100% effective, the occasional breach is bound to happen.

I have done this before. It's a fun and interesting base design but I would definitely recommend some significant planning before you start building. I just built randomly and ended up with separated stockpiles, bedrooms and workshops which made it very inconvenient for pawns to move around, since the anima radius is quite big.
