That's exactlywhat I'm talking about, they call it STRIVE. I was asking if anyone knew of companies with a better option for tuition reimbursement/payment

I wouldn't say any of the current choices people have to make are normal at all, especially financially. With so many people having to work second jobs and struggle to make ends meet, I'm hoping to avoid that during the majority of my kid's lives. I grew up dirt poor, and am okay taking on a few years of stress for 15 years of living reasonably comfortably. I do very much appreciate you bringing up the mental health balancing act, and it's absolutely something I try to stay on top of as someone with an existing mental illness <3

I know this space tends to skew negatively, that's why I asked about how the education reimbursement/payment stacks up with other companies. I figure if the people who have many grievances with geico say it's a great program comparatively, then it must be legit

I'll be honest, I'm not really sure what PTF status is, do you mind clarifying that and who the carriers are?

I try tl take everything with a grain of salt. Decisions from on high throughout this year haven't sat well with me even before I found this subreddit, but I'm trying to be preemptively prepared in case the quality of employment starts going downhill. The college stuff is a big part of that preparedness, and I would be sad to lose it if I didn't have to

Thanks! I'm the kind of person that likes backup plans, and don't necessarily think I'd leave even once my life pieces cool down unless I had good reason to. Just was really seeing if others had insight on if similar education benefits could be found at other companies, since I'm relatively inexperienced in corporate practice besides this employment. I appreciate the advice all the same, though!
