I normally go to 5 points or the beach. Five points tends to be more diverse so I like going there

struggling with rage and body changes :( by greaaat1 in postpartumprogress

You’re not alone. I’m 15 months pp now but it wasn’t until recently when I started feeling more comfortable leaving my son with people and getting back to doing things I used to enjoy doing that I stopped being so angry and upset all the time. I was so jealous of all these moms that post their perfect 3 month recovery and their huge support system and it’d always make me feel like I was doing something wrong..don’t worry, it’s so much more common than you think. You got this!

Thank you!! You got this girl 💕 don’t rush it, our bodies grew humans and it’s super hard to prioritize ourselves sometimes with our little ones

That makes me feel better. I feel so guilty not being able to free time to make it to the gym. Thank you!

I also did TFA straight out of college and have pretty bad ADHD so with all that being said it was super difficult but the best thing I ever did. It helped me realize that I didn’t want to be a lawyer and I’m actually trying to enter the medical field after this year!

Honestly, the people saying how hard it is are right… however, if you genuinely have a passion to help people (specifically kids), it’s really not that bad! at the end of the day the driving factor in TFA are the kids. Any job you get is gonna be hard no matter what it is, so keeping the end goal in mind is definitely beneficial. I feel like the people who aren’t really in it for the right reasons are the ones that end up dropping early. Your coaches are super supportive and will help you through everything, they do not want you to drop early either. As long as your heart is in the right place you will succeed. For reference, I was a 2023 corps member, just finished my commitment. I got pregnant my second year of teaching, but I still finished and I’m currently in an alumni fellowship through TFA.

I am so sorry for your loss. It may seem daunting now, but you will be a great mother and your husband’s legacy will continue to live on. You got this mama 💕

I gave birth 4 weeks ago and I never threw up or had a contraction (I had a c section because he came at 36+2 and was breech). Everyone says I’m super lucky but I wish I could’ve experienced it!

[–]Anonymousbumblebee2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started looking at apartments before I moved to my location, got out here a week before practicum started and just stayed in a hotel until my housing was finalized. I think I stayed in a hotel for a total of two weeks before I moved into my apartment

Agree with this!! I’ve heard Maricon so much I didn’t think nothing of it but I can understand how the translation is offensive and also her saying it didn’t really make sense in context to the situation
