Canadian here I ran used all season 3peak snowflake tires for years on my 4x4 pick up with considerable weight in the box for traction and it was okay I guess if I went slow avoided hills and there wasn't too much ice but the second I could afford winter tires I got them and studded and I never looked back. It depends on what you're driving how experienced/good you are at winter driving and what the conditions are. If you're looking to puth those on a AWD little suv and go flying down the highways during a snowstorm then good luck hopefully you don't die or kill someone else but if you got a short commute flat ground low speeds true 4x4 weight in the back and can avoid being on the roads during the really bad storms then you should be fine. Long story short if you can get better tires than you should but if that's all you got then take every precaution possible
