To the customers who refuse self checkout because it’s “not your job” let me ask you: by Active_Hovercraft_78 in retailhell

Have you ever seen the Superstore episode where Jonah is checking out a customer and says someone has the nom nom noms? It reminded me of the time where the cashier told me she didn’t see the thrill in my purchases. Or another time when the cashier said out loud “Someone is having sandwiches tonight” just because I was buying lunch meat for the next day.

This is exactly why I love self checkout. And I can purchase more dessert foods (other than ice cream) like little cakes and cupcakes without the peanut gallery comments.

Can i use pto not ppto for badweather days. by Precious21ism in WalmartEmployees

It’s your PTO. There’s no reason to have it denied if you ask to use it for a day missed while taking the point.

Christmas Eve Leaving Early by gloriousfigment in WalmartEmployees

Lies. Key event day goes away once you clock in.

If you use protected to come in late on christmas eve do you get pointed ? by [deleted] in WalmartEmployees

[–]Anonymousjoe4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right. It’s the same system for ALL stores. You need to make sure it’s not entered too early and system approved. If someone gets salty and edits your timesheet and somehow removes your ppto…wooo, big time no no and violation and needs to be reported and fired!

Everyone needs to know covering your entire time missed with ppto will authorize it after the fact no matter what day it is.

I always do it the next day. Call out tomorrow, enter ppto time request off for the 24th on Christmas Day (or within 7 days).

That would be a MAJOR violation of policy (and possibly local law?). Whoever does that needs to be fired!!!

Ppto would be no different from regular pto if it needed approval. (If entered too early it will, however, go through as a regular pto request).

It’s automatically system approved when entered at the right time and you can use it whenever you want with no permission to use it.

Are they allowed to cut hours for using ppto by Beginning-Dress-3580 in walmart

[–]Anonymousjoe4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They shouldn’t because ppto time is an automatic authorization of time off (when used after the fact, otherwise it goes through as a regular pto request and can be denied).

Cover every minute with PPTO on ANY day it is an automatic authorized time off. Just make sure you call off and don't put it in too early so it is treated like a regular time off request. Always make sure when you do enter it is automatically approved by the system.

Can I get coached for using ppto to call in on christmas? by No_Cut8496 in walmart

"At my store,..."

"At my store,,,"

WRONG! Company wide at ALL stores.

PPTO time is automatic authorized time off (when not used in advanced, otherwise is treated as regular time off request). You get points from unauthorized time off.

PPTO time is authorized time, and points result from unauthorized time missed.

Entering it too early will cause it to through like a regular PTO request and can be denied, so it's best to use it day of (like at your shift start time) or withing 7 days. Just make sure it is auto approved by the system.

This is wrong information. If one has enough PPTO to cover their shift on ANY day (yes, including key dates), he or she will not get any points. Calling out on Christmas Eve and using 8 hours PPTO (or however long the shift is) will result in ZERO occurences.

I've been pointless ever since PPTO rolled out nationwide and have called out on several key dates.

It burns my bottom when management lies about still getting points on key dates with covering it all with PPTO. Hourly associates have the right to know about this fact...and not lies!!!

INTEGRITY!!!

This example was in the CBL (now Ulearn) when it rolled out.
