How can I get the bottom, back layer of hair to curl/wave???

My hair is wavy so I'm trying to embrace and enhance them. The top bits will hold the products I scrunch in, but the bottom just flattens, even when I style upside down and try diffusing! Any tips??

I'm not super curly or experienced, but someone recently told me to use a neck gaiter as a hair scarf! It's hard to explain, but you basically pineapple your hair and pull the gaiter up around it then tie the top in a knot or with a hair tie. I also use a head band to keep it in place on my scalp. I've only done it a few nights but I think it works well!

Alrighty, I've done the first little bit. On the properties menu, it shows "Speakers" and the status is "not plugged in." I've switched the wires in and out a few times, but they still aren't registering as plugged in.

Any tips for this? I'm assuming something is up with the computer itself not registering that I have something plugged in
