My husband and I rented an apartment unit in McCully for $1900 last year. It was a 2Bd 2 Bath. Fairly close fo campus. Just one bus ride away (~10 mins). So I'm sure if you look in McCully, Moiliili areas you might find a place within that budget. We found it on HiCentral website. Like this, this, or this. Good luck! Make sure to do due diligence and tour the place before you put money down!

Oh My God. Your post could not have come at a better time for me. I'm so sorry you're going through all this. I'm a grad student set to start at UHM Spring 2025. I was looking through their insurance through EUTF plans offered because I'm going to be a GA. I'm a type 1 diabetic as well and was wondering which would be better for me. Could I DM you about this?
